Can I follow? Though I've basically just started my PT practice. Any PT would be fine with me. My strength is LG in general (I get -0 or -1 in most sections I've done), I am struggling with reading, big time.

Thank you very much!

You can just stimulate practice tests for the timing and use the 7sage proctor app. I don't think it's beneficial to use an official take as a practice take even if it's 'unlimited' now.

Thanks, I am planning to re schedule the test :)

A lot of universities offer free practice LSATs. They'll use an old preptest (usually June 2007) and proctor it like a real LSAT. You can also bring your own PT in if you've done whatever one they're using. This can be a good way to get somewhat of an idea about how it feels to actually test without spending the two hundred bucks and without having a low score or cancellation on your record. I would recommend checking with your local colleges/universities to see if they do anything like this.

Thank you very much! I didn't even know schools have that, definitely going to check out. Thanks again~!!!

You'll have less risk, probably, if you don't take it until you're scoring where you want to score. Unless you cancel, the score stays on the books for 5 years. I get it that it's hard with FT work. One day at a time. We'll get there.

Thank you for your advice! I think I will take the November test :)

Hi everyone,

I just registered for the September test, but honestly don't know if I would be ready by then. I have been studying since June, so far I finished the Power Score LSAT bible textbooks and did about 10 prep Tests. I can finish Logic Games within the time limit, but each reading and logical reasoning would take me on average 40-45 min to finish :( I am working full time as an engineer, and have about 15 hour to study each week. Right now I am really stressed, not sure if I should take the November test or September one, I even thought about taking the September test and cancel right away just to "feel" the real exam. Does anyone have any suggestion? Thank you very very much!!!

I scored ~8 points below my PT average for the whole month before September test, normally I got -2 or -3 each LR section, but got -11 and -7 on the real test. I literally don’t know if I can get a score I want in November, thinking if it’s better I take more time to study and apply next year instead :(

28 hopefully (if I can get a score I want in November), with 4 years of work experience and a master degree in engineering, I wish I had any law background.

As a fellow non-native speaker, I could feel your pain. I started studying late May and just took the September test. RC was also my worst part, I normally got - 10+, for the PTs I'd taken, I averaged -1~-2 on LG, -4 in LR in total. But the real test still caught me off guard... Though I think 165 should still be an achievable goal for you, you survived your PhD! My suggestion is focusing on RCs instead of taking full PTs, and do analysis on the questions you get wrong. I started doing that 2 weeks before the September test, it helped a bit. I've signed up for the November test, hopefully I can get some more improvement in RC. Good luck~!

Hi there, I was in similar situation,( I have to stay full-time employed because of my visa). For the November test I studied a few months while working. My company is sort of flexible on working schedule, I'd start a bit early (~7 am) and leave early (~4 pm). I normally studied after work for about 2-3hr per day. It depends on the day though, sometimes I was very tired from work I just skipped study, but I tried to maintain minimum 15 hr study time each week. My personal opinion is to block a certain time during the day when you can sit down for 2 hour or so, some people say it's best to study first thing in the morning, I did in the afternoon. I usually took a day off on weekends. My other suggestion is to make a study plan and stick to it, during my studies I felt lost sometimes because I did make a specific plan for that week/day, then 2 hr later I barely started, but it was already 9 pm, that's one thing I wish I had done better. To be honest I think I would get a much better score if I had more time to study, but sometimes we don't have that choice. You still have a lot of time, good luck!!!

The RC with west coast earthquake and the level of right was experimental. I had that as second RC.

Omg same here!!! -11 on RC... STEM postgraduate, currently on H1B visa.

You did a lot better than me, and I would like to hear what others say!

It's always nice to meet someone shares similar background  , JY's video helped me a lot with LR, good luck with studies~!!!

I've heard that Berkeley favors high GPA over a high lsat score and a 165 is really good, great job! This is a small sample size but I've met a few recent students at Berkeley with similar gpas and lower last scores than you, I think it sounds like you have a pretty good shot applying now especially with those softs (tough major, grad school). But if you do plan to retake, the trainer did wonders for me for RC if you haven't tried that yet. Best of luck!

Hi Victoria,

Thank you so much for your reply, it made me less nervous

I will check the trainer for sure, thank you again for your advice!!!

@ No problem. You’re only five points away from your target score. I think you should probably retake the January test. The application deadline for Berkeley is February 15th if I’m not mistaken. Berkeley is one of my top choices as well.

Thank you very much!
