Hello everyone, so I got my lsat score back and it's not the score I was hoping for, just shy of a 150. I've studied over the course of the last 5 months which I thought was intense studying. Someone please tell me there's no ceiling, that I can only go up from this score. I'm hoping I can review the CC all over again and it will be more clear. I'm just hoping I didn't reach my maximum :(

Hi everyone!
Has anyone applied to St. John's law school? If so, has anyone completed the video interview? What questions do they ask?
Thanks!
Does anyone know of any questions similar to this one?

i usually write a quick sentence about what each paragraph is about. it's better to write a LRS, that way you get the gist of what the paragraph is about.
Hello all,
So, I've been talking to people about which law schools I'm thinking of applying to this fall. I mentioned Hofstra and New York law school because I live in NY. People were saying my chances of becoming an attorney and practicing law are very slim if I attend the tier 4 schools. I don't want to go into Big law and my ideal career goal is to be an assistant district attorney at a local DA's office. I'm thinking of these schools because with my stats, I feel that the scholarship would be pretty generous. Was anyone told the same thing? Does anyone know people who went to tier 4 law schools and had difficulty finding ADA or any small law firm positions? Thank you!
Did anyone else find this question strange? I found alot of the answers b,c and e to require huge assumptions.

I am worried about taking it again as opposed to someone who only took it once. I'm not looking to go to a tier one school, tier 2 or even tier 3 is fine with me so I'm trying to not to stress myself too much
Thank you @ Do you find yourself going at a faster pace when you do this approach on future prep tests?
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any advice on how to re-approach logical reasoning questions when you've pretty much did every question and sort of remember the answer? How do you about doing these questions again? I made the mistake of burning through all of them and now I'm studying them again for a retake. I'm kind of worried because people are telling me that I won't improve much since I don't have any fresh new questions that I haven't seen before. Please tell me this isn't true lol
Hey guys!
So I'm worried that I may have not done well on the June 2018 lsat, but I didn't cancel. I really do want to see how I did. If I study and significantly improve on the November 2018 LSAT, does anyone know of a really bad past test score negatively affecting admission into a tier 2 law school like St Johns or Brooklyn? I know a lot of people are saying that I should have canceled, but wouldn't the law schools like to see a significant improvement to showcase your willingness to work harder and not give up?
Those are some extenuating circumstances, so I would definitely write an addendum. It's better to write and explain as opposed to letting them jump to conclusions. Life happens. Make sure your personal statement and everything else is solid. I
there was one passage in Dec 2011 about soil and it was by far the hardest one I read! I didn't understand it at all :(
the concept switch in answer choice E is so subtle!
Hi there,
I’m so sorry to hear that you had this experience. Honestly, I went through the same exact thing, but, I can assure you it gets better. Staying calm is so important. I know it’s easier said then done, but I have the worst anxiety and it took every ounce of me to try and contain it. I think you may have experienced burn out from studying so much so make sure you take needed breaks. I know when I felt burn out, I was getting more anxious too. I hope everything works out but you are definitely not alone. And schools will look at your highest score from what I hear so January you still have a chance to achieve your goal ! Best of luck to you !!
Hello everyone!
So I posted previously about how I felt like my law school dreams were being crushed by taking 2 lsats already and not doing great.
I'm happy to say though that I'm not going to give up and I'm going to try again. I just need some advice regarding how to go about it the right way this time. It's unfortunate, but I've already burned through pretty much every preptest. I don't have any new questions that I haven't seen before. However, I don't remember really any of the reading comp passages answers so hopefully they will be "new" enough for me to practice with again. It's just logical reasoning where I feel like I remember a lot of the answers. I plan on foolproofon games again though. So, I need some advice on how to go about logical reasoning when I've pretty much seen every question.
If anyone has taken the lsat twice already and is in the same boat as me, I would love to hear about how you are going about your situation. I still do feel discouraged at times, but I am motivated to do better.
Lol his explanation of answer choice E made me laugh
I got the ultimate plus and I can honestly say it's been very helpful. I just need to be more disciplined but I feel like the ultimate plus has everything you need to know.
Thank you for your responses guys! I'm not sure why I'm underperforming, because when I practice at home everything is pretty clear. Of course timing is an issue but I always go in to the test accepting the fact that I won't be able to complete each section. I know that I won't ever score a 170 or above but as of now a 150 seems impossible even after the extensive studying I've done. I'm not sure how to re-study because I've already went through every prep test so I remember some of the answers . I would really hate to give up on the dream of be coming an attorney over one test. Its just upsetting because I put in so many countless hours and really feel like I'm capable of at least passing. I just want to pass this test and move on with my life but it seems to be a huge roadblock for me at the moment.
So I've been studying for the lsat for about a year now, and I can honestly say I've improved alot in each area from when I started. However, I took the Dec 2017 lsat and the one yesterday and still feel I didn't do well. I'm feeling hopeless and I feel like I'm watching my dreams crumble right in front of me. I'm worried to retake it again and get the same result because I know law schools look down upon too many takes. I've never worked so hard for something in my life. I've went through every prep tests and it just seems like the scores I get are not reflective of how much I studied. I blind review extensively and did every logic game 10 times each. Reading comp has always been my weak point but I've definitely made improvements. I just don't know why the progress I make when I'm studying is not showing on the actual test. If anyone has been in a similar situation and has any particular advice, I would greatly appreciate it.
I'm in the same boat, but the decision is ultimately yours. Are they going to help you pay for law school? Are they going to gain or lose anything from you waiting a year to law school? What's it to them? Don't worry, do what's right for you. You can't please everyone.
Same, I hope they start back up today cause I rely on these videos whenever i have a chance to study!
I felt like this question wasn't hard just because the other 4 answer choices were so obviously wrong. I didn't anticipate the right answer choice though.
for answer choice E, is it okay to eliminate because the answer choice is just negating both of the sufficient conditions and necessary condition?
I fell for E, even though it is clearly wrong. Tricky LSAT writers :(
For some reason, I don't understand how C resolves. I thought the insects preying on mosquitoes would make conditions better since the predators are eating the mosquitoes? So, how AC C resolve that conditions worsen? #help
@.benthem do you know if he is going to host anymore soon?
Im down. How do we form a group?
Yes I had the same feeling with Reading comp! Congrats !
Does anyone know if there will be another month of reading comp calls? I would love to join as reading comp is my weakest section.
Hey! I'm going through the same situation. I got my score back and it's just shy of a 150 but I'm not going to give up. I'm retaking in November and I'm going to study harder and keep working at it. This test is extremely difficult but you're capable! Just slowly review everything and make sure you fully understand every question. I've had my doubts too but you can for sure conquer this. If your dream is to go to law school and be a lawyer, you'll find a way to achieve that. Even if you don't go to a tier one school, it's okay. I know many many people who went to tier 3 and 4 law schools and are doing absolutely fine. You'll be okay. Don't be too hard on yourself, just keep working at it!
Such an easy question actually, but got it wrong because I did not know patronize was used in a different context here for answer choice E.
