Take Oct or Postpone to Nov?

I scored a 170 on my second LSAT in June while on two hours sleep and promptly took the summer off for personal reasons. My first one I was terribly sick in Jan.

I still feel like I have more left in the tank. I've been studying for the past couple weeks and I am not scoring where I would feel comfortable in the October test (averaging 172 I would say on PT), mostly due to sloppiness in reviewing and forgetting some trivial basics in strategy. I still feel like I could make some improvements by sharpening up my basics. I

I was planning on submitting my most important apps in the first week of October and sending an update if my score improved. Finishing the rest of my apps in the intermittent period between taking the test and getting my score.

While a great score, of course, my LSAT score is the main fault in my app for what my goals are. Everything else is in a comfortable spot.

Would there be any downside to just moving to November? Should I just stick out October?

Edit: I also have to go down into the 2000s for PT material now, lol.

@ I'm mostly comfortable. I took the January LSAT while I had RSV, so I whiffed hard on the last section, because I was starting to go into a feverish delirium. I am usually able to -1/-0 LG, though there are times where I am thrown for a drastic loop. All things being equal, I worry most about LR.

Use New, Non-LG PTs for June Studying?

Hi everyone,

I am running low on untouched, high-numbered PTs, so I was wondering if I could use the new PTs without LG to get some practice in for the June LSAT? Or would that be frowned upon? I just want to make sure it's a sensible thing to do because I want to practice LR and RC more often than I want to practice LG anyway.

September or October LSAT

Hi! I am deliberating upon whether I should take the September or October LSAT. I've taken the test twice. In January 2024, I took the test with a fever and scored in the high 160s. In June 2024, I took the test on three hours sleep and scored a 170. As such, I feel like I still have some room in me for improvement, especially since both scores were decently below my average PT score and under less than ideal circumstances.

That being said, I have much travel this next month which will prevent me from studying. In the beginning of August, for one week I am traveling for work then the next week I am traveling for personal reasons.

Seeing that I already have a test score I am comfortable with, should I just take the LSAT again in October so I can actually study, and then just send an application update if its an improvement, or do I rush to take it in September on the off-chance I get a great one to submit with the rest of my original application?

Are there any other considerations I am not seeing? Thank you!
