I have a habit of verbalizing while I read, even if its just mumbling under my breath. Should this be a concern and should I try stopping this habit now?

It depends, because a lot of these types of questions have you go through the exact same logical thought process, so distinguishing between them through terminology isn't really necessary if you know what they're asking. However, some of the question types require a very different analysis process so you should probably be able to distinguish between those. Either way I think the terminology is just useful.
