I thought D made the most sense. If Loux went to debt in the first place because of the farm, why would she want the farm to be sold? She must've gone to debt for it because she wanted it. It's like saying a family paid off their mortgage by selling the house that they mortgaged for, to begin with, which defeats the purpose. And E doesn't even say the grandson wanted the Stoke Farm, just a farm. #help

B logically strengthens the argument. Starting work at different times can potentially affect their productivity levels, it's one of the many variables we have to make sure stays constant or else it will ruin the result of the experiment.

How exactly does the columnist undermine the argument? There's nothing there to suggest that. He simply says there's another explanation/reason for the specific phenomenon. He's undermining the original explanation, not the argument. #help

For Q7, choice B, if its obviously true that Marshall's legal strategy satisfied the requirement that it must first be argued in the lower courts, why isn't that the answer? Surely it requires this assumption to be true and something we can reasonably infer. #help

Q21

I thought the level of consumption of the predator doesn't matter even if it stays the same since it can just increase its population in proportion to the prey's population? The passage suggests a variation in the rate of reproduction, not variation in the rate of consumption. #help

D uses the word "enables" as the function of printed books as opposed to the books "facilitating" the traditional classroom. Facilitate simply makes something easier, it doesn't enable something; having printed books facilitated the classroom but did not "give rise" to the school. It was simply auxiliary materials.

E was on the mark for me because the printed books served as a "medium" to facilitate classroom teachings but the books themselves are not the core values of the school. Hence, having books replaced by electronic copies cannot lead to the demise of traditional schools because books are just a medium, not the "value of an institution". Can someone tell me then why E is wrong? #help
