Xavier is right, learning the fundamentals is a much more important concern than timing. With all due respect and not making hasty assumptions, it may be the case that what you see as a timing issue is more an issue of not having the fundamentals down yet :) It's like trying to run faster with really weak muscles. You can't go faster even if you rush yourself, but you can train for stronger muscles! Don't let a lower score demoralize you, don't focus on timing, try to identify those fundamental areas that needs polishing and you'll get there.

I think your best bet is to directly call the Prometric center that you signed up for and ask these questions :) As you said the info varies, and that's because the testing environment can vary slightly for each center (for instance - people at different centers had scratch paper with different colors.) It's certainly not wrong to ask, I saw on the LSAT reddit that several people did this.

Hi, what really helped for me wasn't memorizing the specific inferences, but nailing down some general rules that would help me draw those inferences in the game and in other games with similar patterns.

For instance, if I was reviewing a splitting game, I wouldn't memorize the specifics of each split gameboard - I'd try to identify the factors that tell me this is a splitting game, the best variable to choose for efficient splitting, so on.

I think the best way to drill is to draw insights that you can apply to every single game, not just that particular game. So if you were going with the former approach in your question, I think you're doing great.

Get min 5 hours of sleep no matter what. If there is any small possibility that your anxiety will be too high for that, anticipate taking the test in a sleep-deprived state

Hi, I have an touchscreen LG gram. Not sure if that's up to your needs but a touchscreen laptop is definitely ok, I used it last time.

Thanks to everyone who's shared their technical issues. Haven't taken a real test yet but judging from these comments I'm just going to assume the very worst, just in case

I think your score demonstrates a good grasp on the basics, so not sure if the syllabus will help substantially. I hit a slightly higher score on the real LSAT without the curriculum. I really don't know how it helps because I haven't taken the classes, but if time is your main concern yeah just go without it, don't think you'll be missing out on a lot

Explanation Video not loading

+) EDIT: problem solved

Leaving this here for anyone with the same issue - just allow all the site settings for 7sage.com. This worked for me.

Hi, I have a problem accessing the explanation video for P1 / LG / G1 (But I assume it'll be the same with all other content.) I use Chrome and there are no internet issues.

What happens is I hear the audio, and I see the blue mouse pointer going around the screen, but no visuals.

Referring to one of the discussions here I have tried changing the Video Player settings via my profile - tried both Basic and Classic - the video keeps loading, and nothing happens.

Any help here? Would be much appreciated.

Hi, from what I've heard the LSAC is very lenient with re-tests and honestly your complaint seems valid even without the ADHD taken into account. But the only way you'll find out is by registering a complaint :) Do it fast, it'll take some stress off your mind.

Hi, I feel what you're going through. Just wanted to encourage you that improving LR and RC as much as LG is indeed possible (I've seen the results; from avg -5/-6 to -2~1 for both parts) and you still have a lot of time! Before trying different strategies, you need to believe that you've got this, because really you've got this.

For LR, I think the key is setting down your own approach and not adopting anyone else's. Yeah JY is great, but especially with LR everyone has a different logical approach to the right answer. When you review, you need to ask yourself if you REALLY understand what the right answer is and why, or you're not sure but just blindly going through the explanations.

Then, structure your own approach to each question stem with a wrong-answer journal. I take note of these following elements: 1) Question type 2) Flagged (Yes/no), 3) Approach (Eliminate/Prove), 4) Why I got the answer wrong (Was the stimulus difficult? Was I missing any details?) 5) What makes the right answer right, and how I can pick out that clue in similar questions. Just keep doing this. Your strategies will be different from anybody else's, but believe me it will work and you will begin to see.

For RC, I'd say a LOT of drilling only for the most difficult passages and trying out different notetaking strategies worked for me. Again, I think everyone has a different approach, so try experimenting. For myself, limiting notetaking to about half a page and splitting the notes into Cornell format is the key.

What a whopping long comment, but I hope it helps! You've got this.

I think you should do both, and that was my approach! That helps compare your method to JY's, which in turn will fill you in on what you're doing right/wrong and the strategies you could newly employ. And you are absolutely not wasting time in struggling to do it on your own, that's the most valuable part of your learning.

For myself, LSAT scores are my bigger assets than my GPA. But I have mad mad respect for high achievers in school, it's a huge indicator of dedication. We all know that this is a learnable test, and in the end I genuinely believe those who believe in their dedication rather than intelligence are the best performers. You got this, you've done it before! Don't let your inhibitions get to you.

Mm I'm not sure about that one. From my experience the international vs US LSAT aren't entirely disparate, hence the comparison doesn't stand. My international April LSAT had some overlapping content with the US exam, you see

Nope, converting the 7sage exam to digital and filling in the answers is currently the only way to do it.

When I first started studying for the LSAT a really good advice I got was: Choose between time and aim. You should either take your time, however long that may be, or you should adjust your expectations. There is no in-between (although ideally we hope for that), and there is only one choice. Obviously you know this too, but hoping my comment will help you prioritize. Whichever choice you make I hope it turns out the best for you!

Question stimulus "jittering"

Hi, I encountered a technical problem during my practice test. I had no time for a screenshot, but what happened was that the left-hand question stimulus was jittering, and the sentences were rearranging themselves. It happened only once, during 1 game in a single LG section. See below example to see what I mean.

One moment the stimulus would look like this:

No two films can be released

on the same date. The release schedule is

governed by...

And one second later, this would be rearranged to:

No two films can be released on the

same date. The release schedule is governed

by...

And so on & forth, making the stimulus extremely hard to read and making it a huge distraction throughout the entire game. I just want to make sure this doesn't happen again, so putting it here. Thanks in advance to the immensely helpful administrators!

Hi guys! I'm set to take the upcoming April exam and my goal is 175+.

Right now the diagnostics look okay, as I am consistently scoring above my goal - anywhere from 175 to 180.

But what worries me is how often it turns out to be that our actual scores are much, much lower than our practice exams. I was scoring around 168-9 last year, when I first took the exam, and fell 7 points on the real exam. Yes, a score to be proud of, but I was crushed.

Maybe it's pointless, but I'm just looking for some hope and reassurance that with some good work, my scores will turn out okay:) An additional question to not just the 175+ scorers but everyone here, what were some of the issues that caused you to get a much lower score than your practice exams? For myself: it was not realizing how much RC/LR performance can deteriorate when you're panicking:)

Confirm action

Are you sure?
