With my improved LSAT score (thanks 7sage) I got into a law school with a partial scholarship. I emailed back for more funds. They tripled the scholarship. A number of the forums recommend doing this around seat registration time.

Thanks
Could you put together a link so we can see the entire video of you taking the PT at once?
Also, for a more advanced PT timer, how about making some way in which we can track how long it takes us to complete each question? Then we could see where we are taking to long and review that question type. A simple way to make this happen would be to start a timer in a 7sage log in account for a section and every time someone completes an answer they push the space bar. When reviewing by question after scoring, they could see their time, JY's challenge time, and a comparison of the two (+5 sec, -.5 seconds). Just add 3 columns to the end of the page.
Ha! As one who took that pledge and did not do it to show off, I am offended!
The main reason I did not choose A was I did not like the word "observations" in the choice. Neither action has been observed! There are no field observations! However, A is still the best choice by comparison.
I still don't see how the negation of E wrecks the argument.
Argument: It is probably the fault of the LL
Negation of E.: It might not be the fault of LL
Where am I off?
I can see E working if the argument was that the worm IS responsible rather than probably responsible.
Update: I get it now… Negating E does not destroy the argument in total. Negating E makes it such that the conclusion that the earthworm is PROBABLY responsible illogical because then we would have no way to conclude the earthworm PROBABLY is responsible.
The understanding of E as the correct answer choice hinges on properly applying the word “probably” in the argument. With E negated, an argument that the worm MIGHT be responsible still holds.
"Video of JY doing this"
I love this!! I thought of this a while back and was surprised I did not see someone doing it before now. Heck even tutors should watch students doing this.
I may be a candidate if I do not hit my goals tomorrow.
practice, practice, practice....
Is there a chart with this and or a chart with all LR strategies?
Ok, on weaken questions the correct answer does NOT weaken a premise, right?
From PT30, 4, 24
The conclusion is that since voice mail is more (1) flexible (2) convenient (3) cheaper -> answering machines will become obsolete.
The correct answer choice is D. Answering machines have a feature that voice mail does not.
But does D not attack the a premise and D seems to attack the premise that voice mail is more convenient and flexible?
O1-O2-R1-R2 is possible, but that is not the rule. The correct order (if this is the only rule) could be O1-R1-R2-O2. If you wrote down O1-O2-R1-R2, you could miss a possible correct answer.
As is well know, and is often characterized humorously, adults who spend considerable hours working with small children may then speak to other adults in the same language structure and vocabulary as they used speaking with children. Therefore, co-workers who usually communicate with each other with different language structure and vocabulary will sometimes adopt the some of the other person's language structure and vocabulary.
Which of the following statement is most parallel to the above premise's INFORMAL logic:
a) When speaking to other adults, a person studying for the LSAT communicates to others in the same language structure and vocabulary as LSAT stimuli.
b) Humans who effectively communicate with each other sometimes adopt the other person's language structure and vocabulary.
c) I like turtles.
d) When being spoken to by other adults, a person studying for the LSAT is communicated to in the same language structure and vocabulary as LSAT stimuli.
e) Therefore, people who speak to other adults in the same language structure and vocabulary as they used speaking with children should receive extra mental breaks.

Blind Review summary
a) correct answer, even though the LSAT does not test for parallel premises informal logic parallel.
b)Nope, but could be a great answer if the stimuli was for a sufficient assumption.
c)Off topic (in case you don't get the reference )
d) a trap response by reversing answer choice (a)
e) Nope, but could be a conclusion to an inference question.
From PT24.2.21
a) No effective law is unenforceable
If a) is true can we rephrase .... If not effective then not enforceable?
I know the correct understanding is ... If effective -> then enforceable.
::brain melting::
send me a note. I am hitting it hard and could use a buddy!
I dont think it is too late to pick up new techniques until the night before the exam. While taking in new info that late is not a good strategy, I certainly do not advise against it. I had some good experiences with my tutor and now LG are my best and favorite section.
For LR reasoning is there a cheat sheet out there that summarizes all the strategies by question type?
Not sure. Let me know when you find out!
Whoa! I thought one could not figure out which section is the experimental? Does it say experimental? Can I just skip it or rest my eyes and just Christmas tree the answer sheet?
I am shocked by my sudden score drop when I took a PT in a realistic setting today. Thoughts?
I have taken my last three PTs under the same strict rules. My scores are as follows: 152, 159, 162, 156
I ran out of time on a large number of questions. Thoughts?
I REALLY NEED a +165 next Saturday.
i wait it after the 5 minute mark to bubble. i was scarred too, but after a number of pTs I am not finding a copy error problem.
