Maybe a more simplified way of picking between C & D - it might be true that C weakens more than D, but only if we make certain assumptions in the background about how C works. Simply judging the answer choices on their face, D weakens w/o having to jump through as many hoops.

This is such a great post! Thanks for sharing your approach. Looking forward to playing with this a bit on my next PT.

This question would be a lot easier if the first sentence didn't exist. The key to this question is seeing past the first sentence and realizing it doesn't offer us anything useful.

This question is hard because the flaw is subtle. One way to think about the flaw is that we don't know the proportional impact of snow + ice v. sea + land. It could be that because there is so much more sea + land than snow + ice as is, the decrease of snow + ice would be negligible, even if it all disappeared. Thus, we need an answer that strengthens the importance of snow + ice cover in cooling temps by reflecting sunlight. C does a really good job of underscoring the importance of snow + ice by saying "actually, land + sea would make the situation worse if they were the only things to exist."

Possible Tech Issue, help please!

I think I might be spotting a technical issue in the curriculum. In the "Introduction to Logic" section, all of the video explanations for the quizzes do not play smoothly. They constantly stop and start, as if buffering. I do not have this problem on any other part of the curriculum in "Intro to Logic" or otherwise. I do not have this problem when watching the impacted videos on my phone. It also does not seem to be a wifi issue as my phone is connected to the same wifi, and all my other sites and videos are playing fine. I have cleared my browser's (chrome) cache. I am on a Lenovo laptop operating Windows 10 Home. Any idea what might be going on? It is pretty frustrating to have to open up only certain videos on my phone if I want to watch them as I move through the curriculum on my computer.

Here is one of the pages on which I have encountered this problem: https://classic.7sage.com/lesson/quiz-group-4-translations-1-w-answers/?ss_completed_lesson=10107

Thanks!

Question 26. I interpreted uncertainty as meaning no, rather than just not being sure. This conflation made it impossible to therefore distinguish between A and D. So, because I understood uncertainty as = No, and A is a solid No, I chose A.

I'm curious if folks have thoughts on how many overconfidence errors is too many on a PT? Is 0 a realistic goal? Should I be ok with having a small amount on any given test? At what point should I be worried about making too many overconfidence errors?

A is a great answer choice if this was a necessary assumption question and has a conclusion in the stimulus that said "therefore, the people who lived at this site either cultivated plants earlier than anyone else or ate diets that were more varied that anyone else."

But it wasn't, womp womp. Very stupid mistake.

I don't actually like JY's explanation here-- think there is an easier way to explain it.

We don't need to worry about B, C, and E because the rule isn't relevant to people we don't know are 1st term board members. So, just picking between A and D.

If you do a quick translation of the stimulus, you can very quickly eliminate A and prove D. Key here is fluency with translation rules.

Fboard--> A or All; /A & /All --> /Fboard

A only gives us half the sufficient condition, so obviously we cannot draw the conclusion.

D gives us both parts of the sufficient condition, so we can draw the conclusion.

So I finished the CC over the weekend and took my first PT since my diagnostic. My diagnostic was a 158 pre BR, so I was hoping to improve a few points now that I finished the CC. But, to my utter disbelief, I scored a 173 on my PT!!! After BR, that score was at 177. I am still in total shock and disbelief as I was not at all expecting that much of a jump just from the CC. Obviously I'm feeling very good, but am tempted to treat this as luck as I don't have anything else to compare it to. More importantly though, this has really thrown a wrench into what I was expecting my study process to look like post CC. I was expecting to slowly make my way through all the PTs. Now, I'm wondering if a different approach might be a better use of my time, because it seems like my fundamentals are pretty solid. Any and all thoughts/advice/ideas are welcome!

And for those just starting or in the midst of the CC, trust me. It is all so worth it. Taking my post CC PT felt like I was looking at the test with a brand new set of eyes compared to my diagnostic. 7Sage makes a huge difference!
