@ yes I received it thank you! i would maybe add the live commentary links on the page for the PT explanations, unless you are looking at the explanations of PTs on the syllabus it doesn't show that many of the PTs have live commentary when you look at PTs under the "LSAT Explanation" section in the "Resources" tab. I didn't realize i was looking in the wrong place until @ clarified, thanks for this

@ thank you for your response! i realized that David was an admissions guy but I wasn't sure who to send this question to so I asked both him and JY who questions like this should go to. Thanks for clearing that up!

As for the video footage I have access to PT49 and I've looked through it several times and have yet to see any video footage for the RC section as @ suggested. am I missing something? Because I would really love to get access to that, I was planning on purchasing those PTs but I don't want to if I am there is no video footage of the RC section

LR/RC Tracker/Spreadsheet

Does anyone has a tracker or spreadsheet that they use for LR and/or RC? I know that using a tracker/spreadsheet for LG is common but I was just wondering if anyone has something to track LR/RC progress before I try to make one from scratch and then realize there is one out there floating around which just so happens to be superior to the one I have created.

@ ok so this is so weird I just went through all the passages for PT 49(its the only one i have access to) and i did not see any video footage, is the footage similar to the recorded footage that they have for some of the Logic Games? like its actually someone doing the passage at a desk or something? i am wondering if i am looking for the right thing, but i am also going to message @

@ do you remember specifically which ones JY has video footage for? Tried to go through the passages for PT 84 and saw nothing ?

PT 84 might be too new. 83 should have it, if you have access to them, and also 82, and 81. PT 80 only has 2 LR sections recorded. Let me know if you see them?

i don't actually have access to those because i only have premium lol sorry i wasn't more clear i only have access to PT84 because I bought it when it first came out. Right now I am trying to decide if i should upgrade to ultimate( i am too broke for the extra $400 for ultimate plus) but i was asking which PTs have the video footage because i really think it would help me for reading comp but i don't want to purchase the wrong ones. do you remember which PTs you have watched the RC video footage for? is it mostly the ones in the 70s or maybe the 60s?

@ you can always call the schools individually and asks them individually but i kind of doubt it since they already gave you a fee waiver. @ had a discussion about this a while back regarding the $45 additional report fee but i couldn't find the link...

So I took PT 52 this past weekend and I knew during the time that I was taking it that things were not good I felt anxious, felt myself getting caught up on questions and instead of reading the stimulus first like I have always done I decided to try and read the question first. I was taking it in the room that I am actually going to be testing in to try and get myself in prime test day conditions but it didn't help that the lights kept going off. To say the least it was a mess. I was feeling really frazzled and stress so I took a break, the next day I did no studying and did my BR yesterday. I literally hadn't done about half of the LR questions so I went back and did those, no stress just tried to do my best. Reviewing over the RC and LG sections I couldn't understand why I hadn't completed them, I could have easily completed the LG section and done more on the RC section. With this being said I think my biggest enemy on this test is myself. After scoring the test My BR score was a 172 and I realized that I was putting the pressure on myself under timed conditions. So what I want to know is:where do I go from here ? Should I focus on drills? Doing timed individual sections ? Increase PTs per week to get my time up? I read in a similar discussions that warm ups help where can I find these?

Advice: even increase your score by just one point and this could actually be more significant than applying a month earlier.

To everyone applying know that you are amazing and the fact that you are spending your time studying and working on the application and attending this webinar is really a reflection of your dedication. You got this!

Organizing Law School Applications

So I was thinking about this the other day when I saw one of those pictures that pops up when you log into 7sage, there was a binder that said "law school applications" on the side of the desk. It got me thinking: I should probably get more organized with my law school apps. I am planning to apply for at least 10 schools and I am applying for scholarships so I want to organize my applications by school name and really clarify for the documents I will need for each school. Does anyone have a system that works for them with their applications?

Hey! I think that the personal statement is one of the most important paper to be admitted to the university and has to be done perfectly! Thats why I used to approach professionals at Admin note: spam writing platform where I have got a great review of my statement and useful tips to improve.

How exactly did you approach professionals? The link just took me to info aboutdoing a research paper ?

Flaw/ Descriptive Weakening Questions

Alright guys so I used to be good at flaw questions and now I have realized after taking my last PT I lost my edge. Does anyone have suggestions? I am planning on review the different flaw types but does anyone have something that matches the different flaw types with the answers that have actually show up on the LSAT? This really killed my score on the last PT...

@ @ @ @ just to name of few of you guys thank you so much for sharing, its nice to know that I am not the only one that is trying to figure this out. I sat for the september exam and everything that could go wrong did go wrong, and it seems like I am in the same boat as most of you guys. I have been BRing in the low 170s and I am just trying to get into the mid-160s, if I did better than the it would be awesome. Timing is my biggest issue overall and on the September exam I froze during LG, the RC section didn't help either. I am currently taking the week off to recharge and spending the time off to work on my applications, and I have also signed up for the November BR group and I definitely think you guys should sign up too the more voices the better. I won't be in the BR group for a few weeks because I will be doing confidence drills for LR, drilling my weak questions types, and doing timed sections on LG. The only issue i am having is figuring out what to do for RC. If you guys have any suggestions on how to improve let me know.

Slow on LG setups

I have noticed that one of my biggest issues is the time it takes me to do an initial set up for a game. For example, on a target 9 minute game I will literally spend 4 minutes setting up the game and still realize that I am going to have to do hypos for a number of the questions. Any pointers?

LSAT June/July/September 2018 Advice ???

Ok, so I have been pondering this for a while but haven't posted anything because well...I've been embarrassed. I started initially studying for the LSAT about 3 years ago, at first I didn't realize how serious this test was so I kind of just went into Barnes and Noble and bought run of the mill LSAT Prep Books, a Kaplan book and even an LSAT Prep book for Dummies(smh) at the time I was working full time teaching high school in Miami. Fast forward to the fall of 2016 I started to get a little more serious, I bought the LSAT Trainer and thinking that I would have more time on my hands in the spring of the year while I was still teaching (wth) I signed myself up for an in-person Testmasters course. Testmasters was pretty great except for the cost and the fact that I didn't actually have the time to work on the assigned homework outside of class. After this I decided to move back home and find a job that would allow me the time to focus on studying for this exam, I loved teaching, but it can be extremely taxing and I didn't believe it would allow me the time to do what was necessary for this test. This past winter I was attempting to self-study by using practice tests and drilling, but I realized that I really need video explanations to help me improve and a schedule to follow to keep me on track so I spent a bucket of cash to extend my Testmasters course for the December 2017 test. I though about extending it again but I realized 1.) I wasn't getting explanations for the all the questions I needed, often times I would have to ask "academic support" and wait a day for a response and 2.) the courses were only for 2-3 increments, I am still working full time and while I plan to study full time during the summer, I don't have the time to do so now.

I am posting this because I really need some advice, if someone asked me to run analytics on my LSAT profile I would definitely say that TIME is my biggest issue. I was always the last person finishing a test in high school and college, I may have gotten everything right, but I definitely didn't race to the finish line. I have a good grasp of the basics, and how to approach the different types of questions in LR and focusing on structure in RC. I would definitely say Logic Games are my weakness, but I would also say that Reading Comprehension is the section on which I need to increase my speed the most. Keeping that in mind I have been thinking about focusing on Fool Proofing until I reach -0 on Logic Games and starting the Premium course to get myself on a schedule for RC and LR.

I was originally thinking about doing the June 2018 LSAT but I am off during the summer so I though this would be a great opportunity to focus on studying full time to take the July or September test, but I want to put myself on a schedule now rather than leaving my intense studying until the summer; I also want to keep things fresh so I don't have to go back and re-teach myself key lessons.

What do you guys think? I want to focus on Fool Proofing using the Pacifico Method until I am able to consistently score -0 in LG but I also don't want to forget the skills for LR and RC. Should I put off PT-ing until I have been able to reach -0 in LR/LG and RC? Or am I thinking about this totally wrong? My apologies if this seems confusing my your help is much appreciated!!!

OK so I am really struggling with number 14 even after looking at the explanations and the comments from the years past that discuss number 14 I eliminated choice A because of the part that says that women doctors were accepted parts of every day life In Greece and Rome and I did not feel like that Watch the passage confirms this #help

I took the September 8th LSAT and doing my retakes in November, I am taking this week off from studying before I jump back into the LSAT Study grind so I figured I would use this time to not worry about the LSAT and focus on something more relaxing: my law school applications and would love to get some feedback on my personal statement. If you send me your personal statement I would be more than happy to read over it and give you some serious feedback, I love helping others make something they have written even better. I am currently working on my diversity statement and would love to get some one to read that as well, if you are interested message so we can exchange info. September test takers, hope you are enjoying your break!

side note: the fact that I find working on my law school applications almost soothing as compared to studying for the LSAT is very telling...

#help still not understanding why E is wrong on #7 or rather what differentiates choice C from choice E. would it just be good to recognize that generally the authors attitude or the attitude of an agent in a passage will not be "uncertain"? That there will be some type of solid attitude even if this means indifference?

Really debating about this took tomorrow off from work to get some extra study time in and planned to do my final PT tomorrow but I had a terrible day at work and got into a argument with a loved one. I really need to hit reset tonight but haven't completed the necessary tasks to be ready for tomorrow. Should I spend tomorrow drilling and doing timed section and just do my last PT Saturday? Last time I did that the week before the test it left me feeling very much like I didn't have enough time reviewing my PT to hit those last minute needs. Hope this makes sense today was a tough day and have been super off since this morning...

1st discussion post(woah!) - September 2018 LSAT

Planning on taking the September 2018, unless I just feel so confident that I decide to take June/July, so I will FINALLY be able to study full time during the summer and would love a study/accountability buddy especially if you will be PT-ing during the summer. I would also love to know if anyone has a specific study schedule that they follow for studying full time, I have never had the opportunity to do anything but work full time and study once I got home so I am really trying to make that before I make the transition from working 8 hours a day to studying most of the day because I know myself, and I know that without structure my time tends to fly by. If you have a day/study schedule with extensive detail that would be amazing and any other suggestions, tips what to-dos , and what NOT to-do list please share!

I was between D and E and during timed review chose E because in the stimulus it doesn't seem like they specify that not being able to dig deeper is the limiting factor the only way I can think to eliminate E is because "nearly all"does not necessarily include geothermal power plants #help

Tips for Reviewing September LSAT

So unfortunately for those of us who are retaking the LSAT in November explanations for the September 2018 probably won't be available until after we sit for our November exam so I'm looking for any tips to help me( and my fellow retakers) review the September 2018 LSAT. I am definitely a little concerned that I'll hit the questions that I got wrong and even after reviewing the questions I still won't understand why I got them wrong and why the correct answers are correct ?

First, congrats on your score! the score you earned is one that people spend YEARS studying for and you got it on the first try

As someone who has been out of college for well a while years( I graduated, did Teach for America, and have been studying for the LSAT for what feels like foreverrrrrrrrr) if you were coming to me as a friend I would honestly give you this advice: enjoy the rest of college. You earned a fantastic score on your LSAT that a lot of people would die for(including me) if you decide to go straight from college to law school then you really are not going to have a break. College is an amazing time: treasure it, a my godsister went straight to Duke Law right out of college and one thing that she expressed to me was not to rush, quote "You have the rest of your life to be a lawyer" once you get out of law school it is not as if you have the time to go out and have adventures you will be working and more than likely trying to pay off law school loans. I know the T14 and T5 schools have median scores at 170+ but the time you spend studying could be time that you spend enjoying your life, and bringing up your GPA. Based on what you wrote you are still figuring out exactly what you want to do and pondering taking the GRE I wouldn't spend time trying to improve something you already did so well on if you might end up having to take a different test or a different path, also you might decide to take a path where your GPA matters more. If you do want to increase your score I would try to reach out to people that have a similar story as you do because I think there is that risk of scoring lower than you did previously and I don't believe most of us here on 7sage have been where you are currently or else I don't believe we would be here. You could also try calling the office of admissions for a school(or schools) you are interested in to see what they say. How do they feel about applications where the second LSAT score is lower than the first score? A lot of schools will probably say "we take the highest score" but they may actually give you some insight.

My apologies for any grammatical errors! Good luck and congrats once again!

Powerscore LSAT Predictions

Anyone have notes or a summary from the "Powerscore 2018 Crystal Ball Webinar" I was hoping they would have a transcribed rendition of the webinar but I just see the vvideo and I was trying to read it at work ? if anyone has the notes I would greatly appreciate it !

So I have always had really good memory - which has not helped me on the LSAT but I digress - and I haven't been fool proofing for very long but I do notice that when I fool proof a game I have a tendency to remember what the answers were for certain games even when I am doing a game a week later. I know for fool proofing you're really supposed to focus on memorizing the inferences but my brain can't help it, even after waiting and entire week my brain will still remind me of the correct answer choice and it's making it really difficult to focus on memorizing inferences. Any suggestions?
