@

I never really knew that we could write Letters of Continued Interest (LOCIs), so I am really glad that I attended this seminar. I think the tip that helped me the most was when one should write one. You suggested mid February, but this tip helped me figure out when I should do it considering I am just now sending apps out. Thank you so much for hosting this seminars.

Would it be okay to write a "why X" paragraph or two for schools who have a well known, established health law program?

**i am interested in health law & my personal statement is basically based on that as well.

hi all,

while I did see other posts asking which is better between 7sage/powerscore, I am not sure what preparation stage the other members were at when asking their question.

we

For me, so far, I consider myself to be still learning the fundamentals. So far, I have read the trainer and bibles. While they have helped me tremendously in reducing incorrect answers when I drill untimed, i feel that I am still not being able to apply what I learn properly.

For instance, on LR, I feel like i don't have much of a problem understanding the lessons about what flaws are, what needs to be looked for, what causes an argument to be come strengthened, etc. However, when I do actual questions, my greatest struggle is not in knowing what to look for, but rather in being able to understand how to apply lessons to actual LSAT questions. Similarly, I feel that I am still missing questions untimed on RC.

while i have read the bibles so far, i don't think I mastered them...I read them rushed when I didn't know exactly when I would take the exam, so i am cosidering reading them again. I wanted to ask that given my weakness specifically in having a shaky foundation, do you guys suggest self studying again(first attempt at this was not as serious as my full potential) with powerscore/manhattan and then 7sage for polishing or 7sage for foundation?

I know that drilling is good for building foundation and ingraining the correct thought process which is what i plan to do intensely regardless of which one i go with..I just am looking for the course that better teaches the though processes so i can better apply them to drills. I also have all the practice tests so I don't find it helpful to join a course just because of all the preptests..mainly looking for the one that teaches the techniques better so that i can apply them more properly!!

Thanks so much

I originally used Powerscore for all three sections. I felt like they do an amazing job with logic games because I did not have to review it much after finishing the book. On the other hand, powerscore did not help me at all with logical reasoning. I highly recommend 7 sage and Manhattan prep for logical reasoning. I would just start with 7 sage for all three sections, then buy more study material if you need it. I wish I had known and started with 7 sage from the beginning because it would have saved me some time and money.

My question is whether I should learn the basics for all LR and Logic games and then proceed to attack the quizzes and tests with the Blind Review method? Or should I follow the core curriculum and not skip any parts?

Thank you!

I followed the core curriculum and didn't skip any parts. I personally liked it this way because it allowed me to drill each section really well before moving on to another topic.

how many questions are in test bank in total? I see Logical reasoning has 611 in total. Thinking of purchasing additional access to more if available.

Thanks!

The question bank has all the questions from ALL the exams (1-86). I would strongly encourage you to upgrade because the question bank has been very helpful. It allows you create your own problem sets, and it is very easy to use as well.

Hey everyone, so I've gotten out the bulk of my applications but I still want to submit more. I'm honestly just waiting on my next few paychecks. It's difficult to afford all these applications especially during the holidays. So would applying late December early January put me at a disadvantage? Should I just put the rest of my apps on a credit card? Please let me know if I should be submitting my apps asap.

Hi I remember somebody posting about this year's cycle and whether it will be easier or harder. I think couple people mentioned that applications are coming in a bit later than usual. I think it would be an advantage for someone to get their applications in asap. However, I do not think it is necessarily a disadvantage if you do not get it in until late January. I tried looking for the forum and article, but I cannot seem to find it. If I come across it again, then I will post it here. Hope this helps!

Is everything on 7Sage online with the option of printing or are printed materials mailed to you?

I prefer a hard copy of the Preptests, but I did not want to print them. I ended up purchasing preptest sets on amazon. It would be like $13-$20 for like 10 Preptests. This was definitely cheaper than printing them.

I think the podcast that I would have to recommend would be the very first one that 7 sage posted, so "#1- AMA 7sager Can't Get Right - 152 to 175 LSAT"

I personally think that this podcast has a lot to offer. I am just going to list a few things that I learned from it, and hopefully this will help somebody else as well.

Does not matter at what stage of studying one is at, there is always room for improvement. I have to keep reminding myself this because it is really easy to think that you have hit a wall. I know that I have always tried to find other methods to feel like I have moving in the positive direction again. I know that Josh mentioned doing the entire 7 sage curriculum after taking the LSAT twice. There is always a way!

It is going to be okay. If it did not go well today, then you still have another test date. I know that I am constantly stressing about everything going well, so I can start in August. However, it will not be the end of the world if I have to take another a year off. Of course this specific advice does not necessarily apply to everyone, but I am sure everyone wants to hear that "it is going to be okay, and it is going to work out."

Honestly just kind of hearing him talk about the measures he took to get that 176 was eye opening and motivating. This was the first that I had heard somebody talk about recording themselves take an exam. It seemed so extreme at first, but I do it myself now. It is weird and a bit cringy having to watch yourself, but you can learn so much from it.

To be honest, I could go on and on about this podcast, but I strongly recommend people to go listen to it. I think I learned a lot from it, and I believe so can others. Good luck :)

Does anyone have any idea when explanations will be available for the November LSAT, in particular logic games?

He got the LG explanations out fairly quickly after they released the September test on 7 sage, so I would say similar time frame for November as well.

I took the November test and got -1. So feel free to message me if you have any Qs about November's LG in the meantime.

I am planning to take the July test. I finished the LSAT Starter, but long story short decided to postpone to apply for fall 2020. Would I be able to complete the ultimate plus by July 2019? @

100%! The schedule generator allows you to set the day you want to be done by. It will make a schedule that will include the PTs as well

Which Preptests have you exhausted already?

All the packages have the same curriculum videos, but the # of problem sets and PT explanations increases as the package value increases. I would suggest going for Ultimate or Ultimate Plus because they include the more difficult problem sets. I personally felt like I was able to learn more from the difficult ones than easy ones. I would consider that when picking a package. Also, you can get most of the PT explanations with Ultimate package OR everything that 7 sage has to offer with Ultimate Plus.

To answer your question... yes it is worth it. I love this program as well. I started with Powerscore bibles, then I started this program. The videos, problem sets, and BR sessions are extremely helpful. The 7sage community is very helpful and supportive. Good luck :) Hope this was helpful!

How should I negotiate for more money

I am trying to figure how I should go about negotiating for more money at the school I would like to attend. They gave me $72,000 total which is about 55% of their tuition. I am getting 75% at another school. How do I ask for 75% of the tuition?

I would appreciate it if maybe people can share how they negotiated? Copy paste their letter if they don’t mind.

Thank you so much!!!

Matching timed score to BR score

When I am taking a timed section of LR, I am missing around 8-11 questions. This is usually due to lack of time and anxiety. I usually BR every single question, and I end up missing 3-5. I usually spend 35-70 minutes to BR an entire section. I am taking the January test, so I need to figure a way to bring my timed score down to my BR score. I am sure there have been more people in my boat, so what methods did you use to bring that score down. I am thinking to do timed sections back to back to really get a feel of the time constraint (i.e 4 LR sections/day). Let me know what has and has not worked for you. Thank you so much.

So I was looking at the logic games section that appeared on the Dec. LSAT and noticed that there was a miscellaneous game -- which I've heard are rare in general on the exams. Since there was one on the most recent exam before January, does that in any way mean that the odds of us seeing one are lower?

Miscellaneous games are definitely becoming more common, so I would act as if you will see it in January. Miscellaneous games use to throw me off, but I decided to do all the games from 50-85. That approach really helped me tackle the harder game types whether it was miscellaneous or something else. Also, I was not thrown off by any of the games on the November test, so I would highly recommend doing as many logic games you can before January. It seems like a lot, but it was 100% worth it for me.

I have personally done a mix. A lot of schools directly address this on either their website or in the application instructions. I have seen both “we require 2, but is advised to send as many as you have up to 4” as well as “only 2 are required and please don’t send more unless you have a good reason.”

Thank you! I will do that

# of Rec. Letters

I noticed that a lot of schools require only 1 or 2, but you can send up to 4. Do most people only send the required number?

I am conflicted because I would like to send at least one academic one and one work related one. What have people done in similar situations?

Confirm action

Are you sure?
