If the lower bound of "some" is just at least 1, and the lower bound of "many" is higher than "some," can we just say that the lower bound of "many" is 2?
Want to hear people's thoughts on this. I don't believe (B) is incorrect because of the way J.Y. explained it.
J.Y. says that, because the signs for sheep and metal are both "abstract," they cannot get their meanings from "radically different ways." I'm not sure that's true: just because two things are abstract does not mean they cannot be derived from different sources. Rather, I think (B) is incorrect because the way in which the signs get meaning is not discussed.
Against this backdrop, (A) is only comparatively better than (B).
I could be misinterpreting this – would love to hear people's thoughts on this.
