Confused with the answer choices on this one.
Any explanations?

@ @ Thank you for this, I'm still about 8-10 points away, I've been Pt'ing between 160-162 and BR'ing between 173-178. 170+ is the target. I'm inclined towards taking the December test since I've been studying for a while now, but having a hard time coming to a decision.
Hi,
I'm quite certain I will be taking the test in Feb/June since I know I haven't reached my potential. I'm signed up for the December test and have been studying for about 3-4 months now. Most forums advice you to postpone the test and take it when you're ready. However, I don't understand what the drawbacks are if I do take the December test.
I have been considering to to take December instead of withdrawing since i've lost the money anyway, but want to be sure if there are any drawbacks for giving the test that I haven't looked into.
Thanks in advance
The flaw is very apparent, however the wording in this confused me. Whats the best way to parse out the answer choices under timed conditions?
Took me a lot of time to get this
How can we break it down to get to the correct answer choice faster?
https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-25-section-2-question-22/
@ Thank you for your prompt responses :) Good to know I'd mapped it out correctly!
I got the question right, but any idea how to translate this into lawgic?
https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-24-section-2-question-24/
@ Thank you so much for this! I needed a break. Came back to it and it was completely clear. Sorry about the dumb question
@ Thanks for the explanation, I am still slightly unsure of this part of your explanation " Certainly, whilst inheriting the coal from 1990, coal was mined in 1991 too. But, if we have a lesser amount in 1991, that MUST mean that the coal we consumed in 1991 was more than the coal we mined in 1991."
How can we be so sure of this? Since we have a lesser amount of total leftover coal? Couldn't it be the amount left over was 10, coal mined was 60 and the coal consumed was 30. This would leave us with total left over coal as 40, which could still be less compared to 1990?
I chose answer choice B.
I understand this is an MSS but answer choice C seems too strong to me. I'm not convinced of it.
Any thoughts?
https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-21-section-3-question-16/
Writing down my reasoning to understand better where I'm going wrong.
Available coal supplies = Total coal mined- Total coal consumed in a year
1991- Total coal mined =100
Total coal consumed= 70
Available coal supplies = 30
1990 - Total coal mined = 100
Total coal consumed = 50
Available coal supplies = 50
There are two possibilities I see-
1.Either there is less consumption in 90
2. More coal was mined in 90
This made me chose AC (D) . I feel like I'm missing something basic with answer choice B or my understanding of the stimulus is wrong. Any clarifications would be great!

@ Thankyou! I will definitely consider getting a tutor :) On a side note, do you think I should sit for December, I'm nowhere close to my target score but feel an incredible amount of pressure to sit for it since I've given so much to this test. Have you had experience with anyone in a similar situation?
I'd love an explanation on this one!
Thanks in advance
@ Yes! Usually, I just mechanically try to compartmentalize each question stem. I guess one has to remain flexible!
I will be in India in December and taking the LSAT there.
I have heard that the overseas tests are usually the past undisclosed tests. However, is the format the same ie, 2LR, 1LG and 1 RC and a writing sample?
Additionally are there any other unforeseen disadvantages to giving the test overseas apart from not being able to analyse your tests once you get your score?
I'd love to know if any fellow 7sager's have taken the test abroad and what the experience was like.
Thanks in advance :)
@ Thank you, that makes complete sense to me after reading @ 's reply. Initially, answer C seemed more like a weakening answer choice to me.
Having a hard time with this one, Chose E during timed test and struggling to narrow in on an answer choice during BR.
I don't get why C is correct

Congratulations!! I absolutely love your post. I BR'd a 177 yesterday for the first time and feel the same way. Still have a long way to go to make that my actual score but something is definitely working! And we just have to keep at it!!
And yes, its absolutely dance party time! Haha
I BR'd 177 yesterday and finally feel alive and motivated! Can't wait to make it a 180 and bring my actual score closer to that.
Haha! December or next year, I'm going to beat this test!!
Hi,
Amongst all sections, LG is probably my weakest. It takes me way too much time.
Which is a better way to go through the CC ( I started with LG about a week ago)
Doing the questions and PS's of each question type and fool proofing until you get everything before moving on the next question type. ( I find, my inferences are usually correct but i take up too much time and end up getting questions wrong once i realise how much time has gone by- Watching Jy's explanations help, but my techniques are mostly the same)
Doing the Questions and PS's of all question types in the CC, watching the explanations simultaneously and fool proofing everything together in the end.
I'd love as much advise as i can get on how to go about LR since some questions are taking me upto 20 min and it's really stressing me out.
@ Thank you for this! Absolutely love the way you approach these arguments!
@ Thanks for this. For me at this point, it's become more of a confidence issue. Trying to work on it and keep at it!
@ Thankyou  Yes I'm analysing all tests equally. This was just a trend I noticed.
@ I haven't reached 170 yet and spend at least a whole day BR'ing. All your explanations really help the rest of us! Thank you
Got this question right because of process of elimination, but I don't quite understand why A is the right answer?
https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-21-section-2-question-15/
I'm currently aiming for December 2017. I may push it to the next cycle if I don't feel prepared! Could you count me in?
@ Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. I agree with almost everything above and of course @ 's story always motivates me to keep at it. I think I know what I need to do. However, I'll keep at it until December 1st, I can take call then.
I am planning to take the test in December and would've loved to Join this call. Unfortunately I'm in India right now and could not make it. I would love to hear it if recorded :)
@ This is such a great idea, you guys are awesome :)
I am currently finishing the section in about 36.45 minutes. I have just started drilling RC today after realising my issue with the timing.
When I do individual passages I usually do it in 9-10 minutes with -0 but with timed sections it's closer to -5 or -6.
I'm also worried about bubbling in the answers within the 35 minutes, as right now i spend close to 4m on reading and about 6 min with the answers which gives me hardly enough time to even finish all the questions :(
I'm slightly worried, I'm planning to take the December Lsat, is it possible for me to reach my goal of -2 within time by then?
Any strategies, turning points stories would be great!
Thanks :)
@
I know this is months later, but I just encountered this question again and the flaw seemed so obvious to me! Finally seeing improvements!
Looking back, Your explanation was spot on! :)
@
Thanks for this
Hi,
I don't know if anyone else has experienced this-
When I take a PT first thing in the morning Vs when I take a Pt Late afternoon/evening my scores differ substantially. I end up scoring higher on the morning PT's and find myself a lot more distracted in the evenings.
Thankfully, the test is in the morning but it's making it hard for me to analyse my tests.
I'm going to take all my PT's in the morning now, since my last Pt which I took Late afternoon has really discouraged me :(
Any insights on how to analyse test results in such a case? Also, how long does it usually take most of you to BR, I find myself BR'ing almost for an entire day after each PT (4-6 hours) and can't BR on the same day of the test. How can I be more efficient with that?
Thanks in Advance
I have been wanting to write this post for a while now.
I started studying in the End of July 2017, finished the CC and took my first PT on August 31st with a very disappointing score (152). Throughout the CC I felt very confident in my understanding of the concepts so the score threw me off a little. All of August I had fool proofed games, but a new 6min game would still take me upto 10 on fresh PT's.
September, I made the mistake of doing timed sections instead of drilling LR and RC and did not see much of an improvement. All of October I drilled LR and RC and I do feel a lot more confident looking at the questions now.
However, My timed score is still between 152-155. I BR between 165 and 172. With 3 weeks until test day, I got a 153 yesterday which is so disappointing.
I know I'm capable of scoring in the 170's. And i've been studying full time for 4 months, so this is just really frustrating. To give you some background, I had my own company for the past 2 years, we hit a roadblock in May and that's when I finally decided to take the plunge and attempt the LSAT. I'm 25 and live in India right now. Making it to this admission cycle was very important to me since I'm very unclear with where to work for the next 2 years incase I don't make it in this cycle, since i'm at a point where i'm completely switching my career.
I'm unsure of what i'm doing wrong with my prep, since while drilling I feel fairly confident. Maybe i'm just not good with testing under timed conditions? If that's the case, how do I get over my timer anxiety.
I'm sorry if this sounds like a rant, but switching careers isn't common in India and no one around me really gets the amount of stress i'm under. I would love any inputs :)
I get why Answer choice D is correct. But I am not wholly convinced why answer choice B is wrong.
Would love any input :)

@ Thank you so much for your explanation!
@ It is the "Lower by more than 1000" in answer choice D that confused me.
Keeping your analogous example in mind-
for my bank account to have increased, my brothers account should have remained the same for my hypothesis to hold true. However, if it says cannot be lowered by more than 100, I can lower my brothers bank account by 99 and that would weaken my hypothesis. I get how that makes it a NA answer choice. But I want to make sure I am able to parse through such language in a different question type. Please let me know if you've come across similar questions, I just want to make sure i've understood the concept
Thanks in advance
I'm a bit confused with the wording in the right answer choice-
This is how I worked on this question, please let me know if there is a different way for getting this question right -
1980 (A) GDP = 10,000
1980 ( EEC) GDP = 5000
1990 (A) GDP =11,000
1990 (EEC) GDP = 5000
OR
1990 (A) GDP= 10,000
1990 (EEC) GDP= 4000
I chose D through POC but still a bit unclear on the math!
Thanks in advance
I'm having trouble understanding the logic behind this one. I feel like i'm missing something basic. Got it wrong during BR too :(
I had the same thing happen to me on my last PT. I really think its a stamina issue for me though. With the test coming closer, my focus is really off. I was meaning to write a post about it too! I'm just taking today off and will see if this is some variety of a burn out issue.
The reason I did not chose B was because it only said natural objects and not " Natural objects subject to natural forces outside the individuals control". Is it acceptable to leave out a descriptive phrase like that and take it to mean the same thing?
Since the second half of the phrase is what sets the tone for the rest of the argument
I have encountered certain questions where often means "Some". I had made a note about it until I came across PT37 S2 Q18 where in answer choice C says " often sacrificed" and it was eliminated because it said often based on one example.
I'd love an explanation for this question along with how to deal with "Often"
Thanks in advance!
I missed it :( Any chance anything was saved or recorded.
Was really looking forward to this!
With this question its extremely important to parse out the stimulus.
Display = On loan + Permanent collection
Store= All prints from permanent collection + some prints outside of the permanent collection ( Nighthawks)
A) No, some prints outside of the permanent collection does not mean On loan. It could be any artist, from any century as the display and the store are two separate things.
B) Again, all we know is the prints of the permanent collection are obviously from 20th century. But some of which which are not part of the PC could be absolutely anything.
C) YES. This essentially means, all permanent collection prints are available in the museum sure. This is the one thing we can be absolutely sure of since it says ' prints of all the latter works are available in the museum store'
D) I had picked this initially. Since, i assumed /PC= On loan. Which is wrong. Nighthawks is just an example of one of the prints available. This means nothing.
E) We don't know this. All we know that its not part of the the PC.
Im having a little trouble understanding why answer choice D is correct. I understood the flaw that an absence of proof for something to be false, does not make it true the minute i read it.
However the wording in Answer choice D is confusing me. Specifically, " Rejects the possibility"
I'd love some inputs!

Thanks for this. I'm going to check out the centre today! Will check :)
I have studied full time 8 hours a day and you cannot do it for more than a month. You will definitely feel burnt out. 4 hours of Quality studying a day is a good amount.
