When I reviewed this, what helped me realize why I missed it is categorizing the conclusion as introducing a necessary condition with the word must.

Must tells us that acting responsibly is needed to maintain power. It is not a sufficient condition, so even if you act responsibly you can still lose power. I originally chose E and that is why it is wrong because it confused a necessary condition for a sufficient one.

B shows us a way that you can maintain power and be perceived as responsible without actually acting responsibly, which is why it weakens the argument. As a result, the conclusion does not stand.

Is your BR plateauing too? I found I overcome my plateau when I gave myself a whole day to BR and make sure I reallllly took my time. That made me jump from my 166-168 plateau into my 170s :)

yes, there are 4 sections (3 scored). if u take before august 2024, it will be a scored lg, lr, and rc, and an experimental one of the three. if u take august or after, it will be 2 lr and 1 rc scored and an experimental one of the two.

RESOLVED: Scheduling Difficulty

--CALLED AND LEARNED SCHEDULING OPENS AT 3 PM PST/6 PM EST

The day that I want to test is all booked. Is there anything I can do?

I can't test on any day but Saturday, but there is only availability for the weekdays. I have work which I really can't call off for at this time.

Do you have a pattern in what you are missin?

Hi 7SAGE folks! I wanted to share a bit about my experience working with the consulting team (not sure if this is the right place).

As a first generation law student, I could not recommend the admissions support enough, truly. I was extremely fortunate to be paired with Will Carpenter (writer) and Selene Steelman (admissions expert). I worked with Will step by step to devise my personal statement and additional essays. This process took months, beginning in late August. Selene served as a good check person throughout the process and offered a perspective from inside admissions. She made sure the final material was vetted and ready to submit. On top of that, another 7SAGE editor reviews all the key documents -- resume, personal statement, and statement of perspective.

By all measures, I've "outperformed" my stats, and I know (for a fact) that my essays were crucial to my cycle turning out as it did. I've received acceptances to almost the entirety of the T-14 (including Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, NYU, UPENN, and UMICH), even being offered highly competitive full tuition scholars at some of these schools. When visiting these programs and connecting with admissions and scholarship committee members, I repeatedly heard praises about both the content and form of my essays. Even hearing that they were among the most unique, compelling, and cohesive essays they've seen.

I say all this because it would not have been possible without the 7SAGE team. I almost succumbed to the pressures of rushing to submit my essays to feel like I had my application in "early". That would have been a grave mistake. My 7SAGE team guided me to slow down and give my story the time, patience, and care it deserved. They reminded me that it was okay to take the time I needed.

Will went through NUMEROUS of my drafts, sometimes even weekly, and left insightful comments that pushed me to tell my story more poignantly and vulnerably. Will worked meticulously, not just on the big picture but on the line by line things (grammar, syntax, diction). Whenever I was stuck and even when I reached some lows in the process, he cheered me on and created space to talk about the stress and doubt that come along with this grueling process. A lot of times this looked like dedicated time to simply talk my ideas out with me, reminding me that my story matters. I felt like Will was truly invested not only in my admissions results but also in me: my passions, my convictions, and my lived experiences.

I am happy not only with my outcomes but with the process itself. I feel like I ended my application knowing, even more certainly, that law school was for me and that the path I was pursuing was the right one.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, or if I can be of help in any way! The 7SAGE community was such a rewarding one, from LSAT studying to interview prep, and I would love to give back!

If I was you, I would try to have one from you a professor who had you in their class. That doesn't mean you can't use the two research ones as well!

Law schools may be interested in hearing about you as a student and you affect the learning of your peers. There are some qualities that someone will only know if they have you in a class.

Don't stress -- you already have two great recs lined up :)

Okay that's what I figured. My question is more so on the auto drill when it does "clean passages" up to what ptest does it pull from?

I still do not get question 27 and how the author does not necessarily endorse. I thought the last sentence of the passage was the author's opinion. Can someone explain how that is not an endorsement?

Question on Drilling Mode

Which prep tests are left clean for practice tests when you use drilling? What practice tests should I be using for drills vs for full length practice tests?

Yes the main point would be the author's opinion in those cases. If the author is a reporter of the debate without a committed position the MP should address that there is a debate and perhaps what the positions are. Check for accurateness of each of the answer and then if you are still stuck see which one is more complete. This has really helped me!

No entry after 9 pm without a valid ID: entry after 9 PM ---> valid ID

One cannot bake a cake without flour: can bake a cake ---> flour

Essentially what I recommend is that you negate the first statement and keep the next part the same. We know that if you are allowed entry after 9 PM you have a valid ID; we know that if you can bake a cake you have flour. The second half is the exception to a rule and is thus the necessary condition.

What has really helped me is being reasonable with myself: burning yourself will not help! I work in person 4 times a week and have a job where there are occasional weekends/weekdays when I have to work. I have been using my study breakdown, and I have seen a huge jump in my score since finding the balance!

Morning study block: I like to wake up, do my morning routine, eat something, and drill one RC passage and 5-10 LR questions (I'm taking the august LSAT so no LG). I wake up at 6 AM and have to leave for work by 8:15.

After I get off work: I usually go to the gym and eat dinner. By 7:30 I get to studying. I blind review the morning drills if i did not finish earlier and then review wrong questions/go to videos that can cement why I missed those questions. I then do either an entire section of either LR or RC then review it. If I have energy, I will do a smaller drill of the one I did not take a section for. If I don't have the energy, I call it a night. So, this is around 2 hours spread across my morning and after work. Sometime I can steal extra studying during work but a lot of times I can't.

Practice tests: I like to take 1-2 full practice tests each week: one during the weekend and one during my virtual day lollllll. I then usually blind review the next day and that is a whole day of studying.

Is there a way for us to stimulate test day conditions for august and after? I also want to practice having a random unscored section so I can practice with fatigue/managing focus

I chose E because I thought the weakness was that just because the snakes caused that issue 40 years ago are they still around today to impact the spider/bird populations. I understand why A strengthens but I thought the flaw was if this impact is still around.

I feel like I overcomplicated it now and ended up missing A even though I knew it strengthened it :/ I realize i had to do a lot of mental work to make E relevant

I got 22 right but not 26/27.

C is right because the author states the two failures in the last sentence of the first paragraph. The anthropologists did not look into the sophistication and environments. Part of looking into the environments is the level of competition.

Proctor U Questions

Hi guys! I am signed up for the August exam. I remember when friends took it this time around last year there were a lot of issues with Proctor U for online administrations. I haven't heard much recently about any issues.

Would love to hear people's more recent experiences from the June exam. :)

#help One of the ways to weaken causal claims that we learned were presenting alternative causes. Is C wrong because it does not state that those mineral are known to cause algae growth? So, it requires a big assumptions?

Confirm action
