Interesting. I wrote the October Flex and my wi-fi crapped out twice. Proctor U and LSAC told me they absolutely can not add time back or stop the clock because, in theory, you could be thinking about the answer(s) in your head during the disconnected time, since you were already exposed to some of the questions, and would then have "extra" time or an advantage. I complained since my wi-fi issues stopped me from getting to the last few questions and received a credit for the November test and they cancelled my October score.
I do recognize though that because this whole setup and process is new they are quite inconsistent and just dealing with issues as they arise.
Everyone has good advice. Ultimately, the fool proofing is when you'll start to see improvements and I can certainly say it helped me. Personally, I would focus more time on foolproofing the logic games, as it's realistic to see gains in that section within a few weeks. As for LR, it's not as quick or easy for most people to see improvements in those sections after only a few weeks.
Early on in my LSAT prep I learned how important it is to go for a run when I get up, before starting my prep work. If I run, eat a solid breakfast and consume a small amount of caffeine I'm the the sweet spot. If I skip any of these I'm either too nervous and scattered to focus or too sluggish to go fast. I write my exam in October and I am SURELY going for a run first. I think if I skip this I'll have too much nervous energy to focus.
Good luck on your journey!
Hey, I haven't received the sign up email yet either. I did the October test and we received the sign up three weeks prior to the testing dates so I imagine we'll see the November sign up email within the next few business days...
Hey, I haven't experienced this exactly but I've had a host of problems with the site today. Most often the pages aren't loading but a few times certain links just grey out or my test results aren't showing. As well, the download test option isn't loading the tests for me via Wordpress. I just figured 7Sage is experiencing issues with their web service today.
I think all the comments on the middle-of-the-road nature of the November tests are accurate. I had LR-LG-RC this morning, with RC having the coffee/silk, bipedalism, universality of human rights and the Locke value theory passages. The LR seemed very middle of the road although I just finished and only had time to review two flagged questions. Three of the four LGs seemed super easy and one (with theaters or stages) just threw me for a loop. For the life of me I could not figure out an inference that I was clearly missing and had to guess for most of the questions. I totally memorize the game and replicated it after the test and still cannot figure it out! It's driving me crazy. And then the RC section was pretty middle of the road too-- I felt three passages were medium and the silk-coffee one was easy (luckily it was the last one) so I finished with maybe 30 seconds left.
I definitely think my score will be my own average and nothing super. LSAT 2021 here I come!
Has anyone received an email from LSAT today to reschedule their October Flex to tomorrow (Friday)? I took the test Tuesday, was booted out in the third section, and was supposed to get an email "by Thursday" to reschedule for Friday. It still hasn't come and the LSAC's 1-800 line is too busy to get through when I try.
Hey,
I had a similar experience today, Hannah. I was told I could not test earlier than Friday because those tests may be the same as the test I had today. I believe Friday is reserved for all October retesters so they know not to give you one of the tests administered earlier this week. So annoying!
I just did the Flex this morning and if I can offer one piece of advice, it's use a wired (ethernet) connection! I had 3-4 interruptions due to my wifi glitching and then the test disconnected and closed with 4 minutes left in the third section. I now have to retake this Friday :(. I have a very strong wifi connection. I'm sitting beside my router, have never had connectivity issues and have a very high connection speed when running a test. If you have access to your modem to plug in then do it!
In regards to the test format, it sounds like I certainly had the same LG section as many other October takers. My format was LG-RC-LR and the first three LG were pretty easy to me (I think most people could expect to get all them right) but the fourth question was just odd. It had a bit of an unusual orientation so it takes a while to get your head around and then understand the inferences and interactions of rules. I went into it with 8 minutes and definitely needed more time. I think I had to guess on pretty much every answer since it took me a solid 4-5 minutes to understand the game and draw a gameboard.
Best wishes!

Hey, if you read the LSAC Candidate Agreement, at bullet 13 it lists all acceptable materials that can be on your desk for the Flex. Reading this, I'd say no to the clip board. The agreement is here: https://www.lsac.org/about/lsac-policies/lsac-candidate-agreement

Hi everyone,
I have a quick question. I was able to sign up early for my chosen date/time but I haven't received a confirmation email. For those who have taken the LSAT-Flex, do you get a confirmation email once you've chosen a time slot?
I signed up in October and today and didn't get confirmation emails. About a week after signing up though we receive instructions from LSAC for taking the Flex. Also, you can see your test time and date in ProctorU to confirm.
Hope that helps!
