Don't give up! LR was my achilles' heel for the past two years. One of the best recommendations I was given from my tutor, Sami, was to record and watch myself taking a section. I found how I was not flagging, not skipping fast enough and not reading ACs from A to E - to give some examples. I scored a 164 twice within a 1.5 yr period before hitting my 17X. I would also say that if you're finding yourself with a -8+ for an LR section, go back to crafting your unique strategy for each question type.

I just took the Jan Asia test and found the RC challenging as well! Agreed - LR was decent and LG was pretty easy.

Agreed with the previous comment on focusing on your weaknesses. If improvements can be made in LR/RC, I would highly recommend the grammar section of the 7sage curriculum. It really helps in parsing difficult stimuli and dense passages.

Hi All,

I've been tutoring with @Sami for the past few months and have been able to improve my LR from an average of -5 to a -1. In order to solidify the strategies I've learned, I would love to provide free tutoring to someone who is in the mid/high 160s scoring -4 to -6 in LR sections. I will have to stick with this range since this was where I was plateauing most recently and have learned the skills to overcome the high 160s plateau. I am based in Asia (GMT +8) so sessions will need to be scheduled in line with the timezone's hours. Do PM me if you're interested!

Edit: Due to the overwhelming amount of interest, I'll have to close this discussion and focus on those that have messaged. Thanks!
