I think for answer choice (D) "interim assessments" referred to something more like a midterm for a multi-year project. It can be seen as a way to see how the researcher is doing before the final. But "threaten funding" and "interim assessment" doesn't address the assumption (reference/citation=good research). So D is wrong.

How do you keep motivated?

I'm scoring in the low 160s. I'm going to take June 2016 for sure this time since it's probably the only time I can commit 60+ hours a week

I'm trying to get 5+ more points in the coming 18 weeks.

1) It's arbitrary but does anyone have advice for how to stay motivated and not postpone again?

2) What do you do when you're not studying? (e.g. 30 mins treadmills/walking during breaks )

@.hopkins RC is the section most susceptible to a catastrophic time sink.

I'm guess the reason why this is a MSS question is because it does require an assumption that "a creation can be two things at the same time." I hesitate a bit before I find that assumption to be a valid assumption. It's just we don't usually assume that a novel can also be a poem lol

Stuck at 163..Tips on RC?

Thanks to this forum, all the comments I've seen are very supportive and helpful

163

LR:-2,-3

LG:-0

RC: -13

What are the recommendations for those who have made significant improvements on RC?

The definition of an intermediate conclusion is that it supports another sentence, at the same time it's being supported by another sentence.

But when I came across "PT70 - 1LR - Q17", I realized the difference between "cause and effect" and "premise and conclusion" can be quite subtle

Here's my question.

(1) A causes B,

(2) B causes C,

(3) C causes D.

Therefore, A causes D

Here, "B causes C" seems to be an intermediate cause between "A causes D".

Does it make (2) an intermediate conclusion? because it's supported by another sentence?

Just want some clarification because I think the different between Causation and Argument seem to be overlapping.

Like if say:

Because A, therefore B--- (That would be an Argument)

But if we say

B happens because of A--- (That seem to be both a Causation, and an Argument?)

Any thoughts?

Thank you so much for the support here at 7sage! I would like to share my notes after learning all the lessons from various sources.

Thank you so much! Knowing that RC needs different strategy for different questions would increase efficiency just like LR.
