Thanks! I have career goals, myself, in becoming trial lawyer and I am female. Most appreciated.

LSAC now allows unlimited retakes. Don't give up if it's your dream to go to law school.

Aw, this was wonderful. We all need this to inspire us. Your drive for what you wanted is what we should all have to keep our own selves going. Yes, it can be lonely but ultimately we all take this exam alone and by ourselves.

I very much appreciate your dilemna and your reaching out about it. Be encouraged that you are not alone. A lot of us are in the same boat like you, and I am personally encouraged, myself, to hear the community's supportive and constructive responses to your question and concerns. I must agree whole-heartedly. What's a few more months to do a retake? You don't want to regret it if you don't retake and if it's your life long dream, as it is mine, then you shouldn't settle for less. The LSAT is too important a test to not give it the respect and time that it deserves. I so appreciate how JY and other 7 Sages have emphasized that a year's time of focused study is really what it takes to achieve mastery. It makes me feel less "stupid" (for lack of a better word) after having wasted resources and time on so many other prep courses that weren't right for me. Sure, I could have given up but with 7 Sage, I have renewed hope. With proper explanations, I tend to get stuff and believe you me, NO ONE can break down stuff like JY! Not only did he attend Harvard Law, but no one else has the energy that he does to break down stuff the way he does! With 7 Sage, I feel I now have an excellent chance to beat the LSAT. I don't post much but your question inspired me so much to start giving back to the community with supporting words as others have unwittingly done for me. Good luck to you whatever you decide!

@, on a different thread, a Sager said November is not too late--just be ready to submit your apps upon score receipt. I kind of plan to apply for 2019, but it's hard to say. I have lots going on, myself, so I know exactly what you mean by "never-ending"!

I did same as Emily. See my comments post for "Please Help." I've bought them all, too, but this is the best, and Ultimate Plus gives you best bang for your buck if you want all explanations.

I so feel your pain. I, too, had/have LSATMAX as well as Trainer and myriad others of LSAT Engine, FoxLSAT, and Kaplan. Been a very expensive venture for me to get to the right program I needed which is 7Sage, but very worth it in the end. You're just going to have to bite the bullet and at least get the Starter Package which is what I did. It's a world of difference. It wasn't clicking for me either on quantifiers until JY walked into my life. Night and day difference. I love it. Plus I'm an odd ball with right brain dominance learning style. Linear logic comes harder for us, but JY's visuals for LG, LR, AND RC are spot on for right-brain misfits. Maybe you happen to be one, too? You should google the topic of right brain dominance. Very enlightening and very liberating because I can and will be a lawyer, too! Hope this helps.

I agree with all responses. Adcoms don't need anymore nerd PS unless you can turn it into a unique diversity statement. You want to really "humanize" your application, with all you have going for you. There's nothing wrong with a Doogie Howser by any means, just don't be too out there.

Ditto. If it shapes you in some way, and since you seem to feel strongly about it, you shouldn't feel bad about "exploiting" it for P.S. I plan on writing about a very vulnerable subject myself and had similar concerns of my own. I have PTSD from sexual harassment, and to me, it means a lot for me to be able to tell my story that adds what I believe in my heart and soul how this will make me such an even more awesome future lawyer. Check out the webinar on PS. The topic doesn't matter to them. It's how sincere a story you can tell. Ann Levine has a book published on PS and it has some of the most heartbreaking, personal, vulnerable, sob stories ever written.

I thought this looked familiar. Powerful and so underrated. Thanks for bump. This is why 7 Sage surpasses all the rest. Shout out to Nicole as great example of this. After listening to her webinar of LSAT progress, she really brought this principle to life. This is what will distinguish the good lawyers from the bad ones who aren't in it for the right reasons.

I myself just upgraded to Plus before reading this thread and now I feel even better about my investment. I had already read enough about it prior to be totally convinced, and would like to now throw in my own encouragement as well for Plus. It is the best value and you just don't know how long you will be needing it. I will definitely use up everything! Thanks @ and @ MB for taking time out to give back. You rock!

Wow @. That's phenomenal. You've just encouraged me to shoot for the school I really want--UCLA. This community is awesome. I don't think I've thanked 7Sage today, yet. Thanks &Sage!

Wow. I've been out a while, too. This is awesomely inspiring. Thanks for sharing your very encouraging accomplishment. My chances of admission as older applicant still concerns me a bit, and even though 85 year-old Justice Ginsburg's presence on the Bench is always enough to sustain me as a mere mortal, your story is just as powerful!

I was lucky to have three professors who were lawyers and one was a state court judge. I got LOR's from all three though I just took one course by the judge. You don't want to regret not asking. I did well with all three and honestly, if I had to choose just one, the judge would be it, especially if he knew you had strong aptitude. Just ask and they should be honest about if they are comfortable with endorsing you for law school. Hope this helps!

Excellent question. Mastery of stimulus is key and getting there is the battle. I have seen both approaches. It depends on the person. J.Y. is able to break it down as he is reading it, and then it looks like he goes back with more critical analysis and intuition. It looks like teaching it to others has reinforced and solidified this process for him and other Sages. The webinars on active reading and LR questions will help you with this as well. They are valuable and should be used in conjunction with CC. Good luck.

My UGPA is not that low, but I've been out of school for a substantial amount of time, and decided to add a paralegal degree with a 4.0 GPA. I know it doesn't count in the stats but I know it should show them my commitment and love of the law and my aptitude for law school. Just an idea for you.

I myself spent thousands on courses like that, with no hope for a competitive score, only to finally realize in a rude awakening that LSAT is a profound and serious measurement, not to be underestimated or taken for granted, of what is intellectually required of us as future lawyers. As I have come across the myriad postings of long and hard-fought battles of Sages in their high score goaled LSAT journeys, I needed to re-evaluate my own prep with a more aggressive approach. I also have to deal with a certain LD and this complicates my prep just a little, but law school means a lot to me, and I am SO lucky to have found the 7Sage goldmine. The resources are here and once I signed up for Ultimate Plus, the sky's the limit and my only obstacle is me! I have to craft my own prep plan to fit me, as everyone is different with his/her needs and lifestyle, but in having done so, it is an invaluable experience to be counted as part of the mental training to attaining the mindset of becoming an effective lawyer. I hope this helps.

I am in same boat as Jessica! I procrastinated, too, on LG and I don't know how to fix either. I read the wonderful advice above, and am now making the hard but sensible decision to postpone my upcoming July LSAT. Jessica, please look at the 'postpone' comments as well. Very eye-opening and soul searching regarding pride by Nicole! Thanks fellow 7 Sage students, and to Sages for sharing your strategies to help me bite the bullet! This test is too important to me to bomb!

I second Kateryna response. Abraham Lincoln was a self-taught lawyer. I do feel your pain as well. It's good to know we're not alone struggling. It should make you want your goal even more as it does for me when I hear others share their oh-so- intimate and vulnerable stories of struggle and heartache. I, too, love the law and as a non-traditional applicant, but like Madonna, have "reinvented" myself over and over again as well as go after this LSAT beast. My undergrad GPA is not too shabby to begin with, but I added a paralegal associate's degree with a 4.0 GPA to show my commitment and love. It doesn't really count with undergrad numbers but I know it is not meaningless to admissions. Along the way, I managed to procure stellar LOR's from not just attorney-professors but state court judge-professors. I have also accomplished law-related feats with the most unrelated jobs you can think of, to show that I have what it takes and the extra edge to compete with the most traditional of applicants. I hope you are encouraged and continue to be encouraged by others' stories like mine, as I am by others like yours, and take heed to advice on how to take fresh approaches to how to get to where you need to be. I will be taking my July test for trial number 1and I know I will take subsequent ones as well...because damn it, I'm not giving up. I have come SOO far in my journey that I can taste it, and being a good lawyer means how you get to that point, and it will show. I can see that much already in your story. You need to see it, too.

Thank you for this generous feature! It allows me breathing room to not worry about extending/upgrading until after test date. Good marketing nudge, 7 Sage! It's a no-brainer for me. You're a keeper! Thanks!

I know of a case where someone got into Harvard Law in the 140's, but that was a special situation, and she had top notch consultant. 160's is quite respectable and a lot of us would kill to achieve 160. While I appreciate the drive for excellence in this field, I believe there's more to being a good lawyer than an LSAT score in 170's. A lot of good lawyers and judges come from regional schools. With that said, you should do what makes you happiest.
