@Stas1973 Building up stamina worked really well for me too! I originally had started out with PT's and I found myself seriously fatigued by the end of the second section. Once adding another section each week, helped me TREMENDOUSLY!!!

LSAT Argumentative Writing Questions

Hi, I recently just discovered that I have to take my LSAT argumentative writing within 8 days of my LSAT, and I haven't practiced for it. I have an English degree and I am familiar with writing; however, I have a couple questions for the general guidelines of what is acceptable/expected of the argumentative writing section.

Questions (sorry so many)

1) Do we need to do in-text citations of a certain format? Or does simply (Perspective 1) work?

2) Should we aim for two or three points when arguing our perspective? I have extra time, but I am not sure if I should spend my extra time polishing my essay rather than providing more evidence or additional points.

3) Can we use anecdotal evidence? For example: the practice essay mentions career prep for University students, can I mention my schools career preparation center resources?

4) In regards to my previous question, should we use first person pronouns when sharing anecdotal evidence?

5) Do we need to use all the evidence provided? Or can we stick with a couple of sources?

Lastly,

6) Are we discouraged from direct quotations, should we paraphrase evidence provided?

I apologize for the million questions, I usually had very strict guidelines when writing essays in school and I can't find any information regarding these questions.

Thanks in advance!

(BTW I have to take it Thursday)

Im so lost what is the difference between group 3 and 4 if it doesn't matter which side you choose. technically you are doing the exact same thing just you decide which is going to be sufficient or necessary based on which idea you choose?

The whole reason I did not choose D was because of the word "or" in the stimulus it says and suggesting the necessity for both intellectual and emotional enrichment. I have gotten similar questions wrong for making the mistake of not identifying small differences like this. How do I know when to use the attention to detail in cases of word choice and when not to?

Okay so the phrasing of this question threw me off. When I read least partly, I had interpreted the question as "least likely to be based on". When I saw that I had gotten the question wrong by an obviously correct answer according to my original interpretation I had realized the phrasing of the question. Why do they make the question stem so confusing????????

I originally had considered B but what kept me from ultimately choosing the answer was "danger of human beings", I felt this language was too broad from the original principle of posing a threat to human health or safety. As i know its implied, but when do you know when to distinguish implied language versus tricky language???

Do I register for the April LSAT? Help!!!

So today, I just scored for the first time within the region of my target score. My PT's are untimed; however, I will have more than enough time on the test for accommodations reasons. The deadline is soon and I am debating whether I should apply, I scored a 159; however, I felt like this PT was the first PT where the answers were apparent and I rarely guessed. My goal score is upper 160s, preferably 167+. I want to allow myself to have enough time to retake the LSAT, and I feel that August is notoriously one of the harder tests, if I take April it gives me a better chance to have more time to score better, while also having a less competitive pool. Do I register for April or wait for June? HELP!!!!

I have watched all the explanations and read them all and I am confused how we have came to our conclusion from the amount consumed when the stimulus says that the tally is taken from total available coal supplies= total amount mined WITHOUT BEING CONSUMED. So how would the tallies changed with the numbers each year if the tally is taken with coal supplies that are not being consumed? Does this make sense? I chose A originally because this was the one answer choice that didnt mention any kind of change attributed to consumption.

I understand why my previous answer was wrong but where does it explicitly say psychological effect? I had ruled this answer out as it didn't imply or explicitly note the psychological effects? Can someone explain im lost
