ADHD accomodations

Hi,

How is the process for ADHD accomodations? Anyone have difficulties getting accomodations for ADHD? I’ve always suspected I had ADHD my whole adult life but for the longest time I refused to see a dr about it until a year ago, when the dr confirmed my suspicions and diagonesed my with ADHD. I never got any accomodations during college or any other exams.

I think its worth it if you are a splitter trying to get into T-14, Ucla, Usc, Texas etc. I started with personal statement and later upgraded to full admissions consulting, they let me apply cost of personal statement to full consulting. So if money is tight, maybe start with personal statement help. After you're done with PS, you can decide if you still want to do full consulting and talk to them about payment plans.

Check my review for them below:

As a splitter applicant aiming for a T-14, I needed to put together the best application and write the best essay I could.

I highly recommend Ben and Christie. Ben worked with me on the personal statement, from the brainstorming stage to the final draft that I submitted. He provided extremely useful feedback on every draft that I wrote. I also owe a lot of gratitude to Christie. With her experience in law school admissions, Christie provided useful advice every step of the way, from feedback on my Why X essays, diversity statements, addendum essays, interview prep, correspondence with law schools, and scholarship negotiations. She was extremely punctual as well. She always answered my emails within 24 hours or less. Thanks to Ben and Christie, I got into a T-10 with merit aid! I truly believe that it was my essays and application that got me in. I also want to thank David for working with me on coming up with a payment plan that suited my financial situation. 7Sage may not be the cheapest out there, but they are the best value! The investment worth it in the end!

@-dawg I was working full time 40-60 hour weeks so i was studying on and off for a year and a half. For RC, I found the 7sage memory method really hepful. LG, the foolproof method works, and for LR, i read ellen cassidy’s book lsat loophole and did the drills. Treat your lsat like another job try to schedule at least 12-15 hours a week studying for it.

YES! Take your diagnostic with a grain of salt. I'm sure most people get bad scores on their diagnostics. Mine was 145, i ended up with 169 on the July LSAT. Put in the time and effort, do the lessons, the drills, and work on your weaknesses.

Upgrade to ultimate?

I plan on taking the test in june. I currently have the starter and i have hard copies of all lsat prep tests 38-81. Is the upgrade to ultimate worth it? Im in a cash crunch right now but having only hard copies of lsats is kind of annoying.

My diagnostic was 145. I ended up with a 169 on the July 2019 LSAT. Take your diagnostic with a grain of salt. You've never been exposed to the material, so its expected that you will do poorly. I worked full time and studied for the LSATS. Its challenging but if you want it enough you'll find the time and energy to study. Treat LSAT studying like a job, set time aside to study and stick to the curriculum.

Hi I'm applying to Michigan right now. I wanted to learn more about the school. What is the law school culture like there? How do you like your professors and classmates? How do you like the Ann Arbor? I'm from California, and I've never been to Michigan. In your experience how have students from other states adapted to Ann Arbor?

Thanks. I normally do ok with time. I finish around 3-5 min early most of the time. Yes im finding that getting reps in for rc helps.

So ive been out of school for 5 years. I feel like my current employer would be in the best position to write my recommendation letter, however, my current employer doesnt know about my law school yet. Does anyone have tips on asking your current employer for a recommendation?

High 160s to consistent 170s

I got a 167 on March 2019 test, and i got a 168 on pt 85, 169 on PT 82. I have gotten lucky a couple times and got a 171(PT 83) but thats rare. Anyone have tips on scoring in 170s consistently? For LR i get between -2 and -4, RC -4-6 and LG -2-0

Thanks.amazon fire it is. I guess its fine if its not as big. It makes prep test harder than the real thing which is a good.

@ I would start with taking untimed tests from the older LSAT PTs, to diagnose my weakness. I think untimed is a great way to diagnose your weaknesses because if you got something wrong and you can't blame running out of time or not having enough time. RC was my main weakness so I honed in on doing the memory method that 7sage teaches. For LR, I supplemented with Ellen Cassidy's Loophole. As I got better, I would start doing timed tests with 1 hour per section, 50 min per section, etc.

I'm in the same boat. My untimed and blind review scores are in the 170s but when it comes time to do timed PTs, i keep getting stuck in the mid 160s.

Columbia Law Fun Facts

Does anyone have advice on the Columbia law fun facts section? Can anyone provide feedback below?

I was held back a year in Kindergarten because I struggled learning how to count but as an adult I ended up becoming a CPA Accountant.

While Vietnamese is one of my native languages, I feel more comfortable speaking Spanish than Vietnamese when speaking in professional and academic settings.

I don't watch tv often but when I do its either Keeping up with Kardashians or documentaries like PBS Frontline.

Advice for science passages

I have about a 10th grade level knowledge of science so science passages about things like fractal curves or the ocean floor spreading theory are completly abstract for me. Does anyone have advice on understanding complex science passages?

Go for the whole top 14 plus Texas, UCLA,... As a splitter, your results will be all over the place. I was a splitter with worse scores than you, I got into Michigan, and Texas but waitlisted at UCI, USC, UCLA, Davis. Just make sure, your essay(s) and application are perfect and ideally submit them early like before Thanksgiving.

I was in your shoes two years ago. I was 6 years out of college when i was studying for my cpa exam. It was tough to be working full time and studying for the lsat, but now im at a t-14. Stick with it, take it one step at a time, be disciplined and you'll get there.
