I was going to choose E, until I realized the keyword "increased" in the stimulus. Answer choice E says the trap became full allowing "some" beetles to escape. I put it in terms like this:

If there were 10 beetles in the garden to began with, and a trap caught 4 with one escaping, there are still 10 beetles in the garden total. The amount did not increase. But with D, one trap lured more beetles from another garden, increasing the total number of beetles in the garden in question. So, at first there's 10, one trap lured 4 more, there's now 14 beetles.

My issue with most LR questions is not reading close enough. "Increased", again, is the keyword here.

Taking LSAT twice vs once/ Not ready

Hey, all!

So, I decided to take the LSAT in June and in August as I read it is better to take it twice and experience the real thing first, then come prepared better the second time. But the problem is that I do not feel I will be entirely ready in June. I have been studying since January, and during the months of Feb/March, it was only sporadic study due to personal/family events. The June test is two months out vs the August four months out.

So I need your opinion/help. Should I just wait, study harder for the next four months and only take the test once?

or

Take it in June first, then in August again, even if I am not ready for the first one?

How does not doing well on the first then improving for the second affect my record regarding LSAC?

Any help/advice is much appreciated!

I chose C, and now see why its incorrect. Can someone go into detail why B is correct. I'm not grasping it. #help

I initially chose answer choice D, but during Blind Review switched to B. I decided against D using hypothetical reasoning. "Government Research frequently gives rise....". Perhaps we immediately think of medical research, but I put it in terms of animal, environmental, anatomy...just because the government funds it does not mean it could potentially benefit society as a whole. In this case, the funded research of powdered lead benefited society in the long run...but we cannot assume all funded research frequently does.

How long have you been studying?

I have seen on these forums and other sites a range of how long people have been studying for the LSAT. How long have you and when do you plan too take the test?
