Hi all,
Would anyone be interested in an accountability buddy to work through the core curriculum (and beyond)? I was hoping to put together a group which we can check in on and see where everyone is at & post questions for general help within the curriculum.
We wouldn't even need to be at the same place within the C.C., but for context I am just about to begin the section on Logic. Putting in about ~30hrs a week, Mon-Sat, hoping to start more full-time PT'ing by July.
The plan will be to offer a daily check-in Mon-Fri to see where everyone is & to share my experiences as things go along. Perhaps an opportunity for a weekly recap on Saturdays w/ possible Happy Hour to talk shop about LSAT & Law.
I'll reply to this thread once we have enough ppl to close it!
Happy Studying!

I have a contention with B and would appreciate if someone could explain how I'm wrong.
Many ppl are justifying B on the basis that a "decline in quality of recent books" is an alternative explanation for why there are fewer of these books published overall. However, I didn't choose B because of how I understood the term "recent" to play into the overall argument.
Even if we take this to be true, this does not mean that, in absolute terms, the number of books believed to have intrinsic value has gone down. All of the books which they believed to have intrinsic value prior to these "recent years" of poor quality still exist. I see this as only explaining that the rate of new books to publish has gone down... but I don't see how this explains an absolute drop in the number of such books being published.
As an example to what I mean - imagine that you say music publishers are more concerned about profits today because the number of indie songs they publish today has gone down. I counter this by saying that it's actually because the number of quality indie songs made has gone down in the last few years... but that doesn't explain why there are fewer indie songs on spotify today than there were previously. Just because indie songs today aren't as good wouldn't explain why a publisher is removing old indie classics, like Wheezer songs or something.
