I am also located in Maryland and studying for the June 2015 LSAT. Where exactly in MD?

In JY's explanation of Question 14, when he identifies the question type as a MSS he emphasizes that it isn't a MBT, so something just short of MBT. Will all other correct answer choices for MSS questions use this kind of noncommittal type of language that the correct answer choice D uses with, "unlikely"? Or it just because this particular stimulus says the proposed conclusion is "quite probable"?

I watched the video like 6 times and was still completely lost. First, I was confused how the last sentence in the stimulus [Country Q has not imported or exported any coal since 1970] tied in with the rest of the argument. But then I figured out that it is supposed to block other explanations that could account for the total amount of coal calculated in 1991 being less than the total calculated in 1990.

As far as arriving at answer choice (B), this is how I looked at it :

No coal was mined in 1991. Those 50 tons of coal that were totaled up on December 31st in 1990 rolled on over into the new year [1991]. Country Q's efforts to mine for more coal in 1991 were futile. Meanwhile, in 1991 Country Q didn't stop consumption of coal. In fact, they burned 20 of those 50 tons they were left with from the year before. If you aren't replacing (mining) the coal that you are consuming then you're left with less than those 50 tons you began the year with. 0 = total gains in mined coal in 1991 + 50 tons of coal from 1990. If you consumed 20 Tons in 1991 then you are left with 30 Tons come years end. 30 Tons is certainly less than 50 Tons.

(B.) Country Q consumed more coal in 1991 then they mined in 1991.

I wasn't picking up the distinction they made that once the eggs hatch they become larvae but once you pointed this out in the video it immediately made sense.

@ . I employed a very similar approach to yours with the LG bundle, sheet protectors and all. I completed the bundle a couple of months ago. Currently, I am in the PTing phase of this whole process but now that time has passed, I revisit the games often just to make sure my understanding of each one is still as solid as it was a couple months ago. I also coupled the 7sage curriculum with the LSAT Trainer by Mike Kim, as suggested by other 7sagers, which put all of JY's lessons into perspective for me, especially the LG strategies that the Trainer teaches you to utilize for eliminating wrong answer choices. Anyways, Good luck studying!

I eliminated wrong answer choices when doing this question based on what Anna does not address in her reply. Because Anna doesn't mention anything regarding the durability of the cassette, B is a wrong answer choice, as you explain in the video. Yet, the right answer choice: D talks about the durability of the cassette, which Anna does not address. I am confused.

Goto google and search for the Preptest number, so like Preptest number 31 June 2000 Logic Games (You search logic games because this is how you get to the video explanations for the other sections for each preptest), and 7sage's videos for the logic games should come up in your search results. Then just click on the video explanation for 7sage's website (not on youtube), scroll down and it will have links below that are highlighted in blue for each question & section for that entire Preptest. This is how I've been accessing them. Hope this helps!

@ and @ Thanks for the Trainer book recommendation. I just took a look through the chapters that are available online and it seems like it would help anyone who is stuck in that upper 160's funk that @ and myself have been in for a while now. I am pretty solid everywhere except for the flawed method questions which have really been eating up my time. I'm definitely going to try this and see if it helps! Good looking out!
