For question 5 I put:

1. Most households versus some households,

2. Maintaining a lower indoor temperature than accustomed to on a very cold day,

3. Most households.

I read through a bit of the discussion and it kinda seems like I'm the only one that didn't opt to compare their comfort, and I definitely did not realize that it was a comparison of accustomed to versus now. In hindsight it makes sense, but I seriously thought I was cooking. I think the percentage of households slipped me up, which I realize was probably the intention of writing it like that.

I got the others ones correct though, so not a total loss. I'm still working on understanding the more vague and abstract ways of writing these questions. I feel like number 5 was a good example of how abstract it could be, so its good practice.

The Trash Bin argument assumes the cat is the only possible culprit due to its presence in the area. It ignores the possibility that somebody else could have been nearby and toppled the garbage, or that the cat could have eaten their own food. It implies the cat must be (1) hungry and (2) the only possible individual that could have knocked over the trash bin.

The tiger argument is more solid; it could be amplified with more details, but the premise ties directly into the conclusion.

I did, however, make the mistake of thinking that the Trash Bin argument was more solid than the Tiger argument. I assumed that because the Trash Bin argument had more premise behind the conclusion, that it would equate to the argument being stronger. However, I realized after reading some comments that the argument was not amplified by the additional premises, if anything that allowed more doubt to be raised against the argument of the cat being the culprit.

I put it this way for myself, I would have a harder time defending the Tiger then I would defending the cat.

1. Driving is unsafe. Most drivers are involved in a car accident at some point in their lives.

2. To get energy for her day, Ellaha must drink water in the morning. She may also get energy by drinking coffee. Ellaha is energized, but she did not drink any water, thus she must have had coffee.

3. The colours of the leaves are changing colour. Leaves are dropping from the trees, this only happens when fall arrives. Fall must be arriving.
