i did not think opera was that relevant to Passage 1. But upon review this question doesn't ask for the main point, just what question does the passage attempt to answer. P1 tells us no, words aren't important for opera's artistic effectiveness. P2 tells us yes, it is important because words and music are united and results in opera's "inimitable character."

somehow i didn't even read this whole passage due to time and it's the only passage i got all the questions right on. smh

I read the question too quickly. At first glance I thought we were looking for the author's attitude towards Morrison - not her novel. That's why I chose C and not A. R

I do science first, longest passage second, then the other two by # of questions. Science takes me longer to conceptualize and understand.
