Hey Jonathan thanks for doing this, If I want to join tomorrow's session, contingent on it being finalized, will you be posting the link here? I have never joined these session, just curious how I can be sure to not miss it?

Thanks a lot!

Hey there,

To put very simply I think this one really comes down to your ability to quickly eliminate the clearly wrong options that limit your world and give room to too much.

What I mean by that is you shouldn’t go into this with the mindset that you’ll be able to hunt for the right answer but rather find it through process of elimination.

What I find works best for me is I quickly eliminate any AC that obviously contradicts my rules or limits the possible worlds more than the rules already do. For instance if the new rule makes it so you can’t have A and B beside each other but one of your rules clearly indicate that AB must be consecutive that would be an easy elimination.

The next thing would be the harder skill which is to eliminate the AC that as JY says sneaks in worlds by making more possibilities available than the rules already allow.

Overall it comes down to what your goal score is, if your aiming at perfection then you have to make sure you can get everything else right before this and only then I’d suggest to really focus on your abilities to visualize these sneak in worlds or limiting worlds AC.

If perfection isn’t your goal and you would be satisfied with losing a this point then I’d say spend a max of 30 secs. Eliminate easily the ones that limit and you’ll come down to 2-3 potential ones. If anything obviously stands out that might provide more worlds than you can have then eliminate otherwise you might have to guess between the 2 you might be left with and come back if you have time. Definitely would put this question on lowest priority if 180 isn’t your goal.

Hope this helps :)

To Loophole or not to loophole, that is the question

Hello everyone I just finished the CC and am still having difficulty with LR section under timed conditions. I have a pretty large discrepancy between my score under timed conditions and untimed (150’s Timed to 170’s untimed).

I just got the loophole because I need to improve my LR performance but I’m unsure about it’s effectiveness and whether it’s worth going through it if I already completed the CC.

My question to you is for those who have done both the CC and Loophole or just Loophole what do you guys suggest is the best way to approach the book. Should I even bother? If you did the CC first do you find it more confusing now to go through the book? What are the best benefits of the book?

Anything will be appreciated!

Hey I can't really speak to most of the live classes but I have been attending JY's Live PT 93 classes and I cannot begin to explain how beneficial this has been. HIghly Highly suggest attending the last RC passage explanation set for 12PM ET today if you see this in time. Otherwise I highly encourage you to watch the recordings by going to the live classes tab then you will see an archive button of previous classes. Just filter for pt93 and all the previous one's have been LR and RC. Starting tomorrow we will be going over the LG section of that PT although you may feel like you might not need the help there (I'm in the same position as you) I suggest still attending.

As for all the other classes I haven't attending many of them but you can still do what I suggested above by going to the archives, they are all recorded. There you can either gain some value by learning new things or just know that it won't be helpful for you if you find it to be too easy.

hope this helps!

Hey there Big congrats on your success I was hoping to get your input on what you did to go from the 160's to high 170's. What were your strategies because the last jump is hard as you would only have a margin of error of a few questions only. Also were you PTing in that range before the test day? Did you do any tutoring?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
