@AgnesAlojado thanks a million!! I wasn't pressing long enough, your email is so appreciated.

I ran out of time during my take and just picked D lol but through my review, I did it slowly and I'm practicing writing out the reasonings for these harder questions and I got it right on my own, no peaking! Here is my thought process.
*Problem: Dilemma for Shayna on whether she should congratulate Daniel. If she does, she will misrepresent her feelings, if not she will hurt his feelings
*Principle: One should be sincere except when one believes that the person would prefer kindness to honesty. (that EXCEPT is the key)
PT 141 S4 Q23 - here's my walkthrough:
(A) - no, assumes how Daniel will feel without addressing whether Shayna is aware or not
(B) - no, here we're not told what Shayna knows or not about Shayna's preference
(C) - no, this is concerned with what Shayna believes when the principle is set up for Shayna to be aware of what Daniel believes
(D) - no, assumes how Daniel will feel without addressing whether Shayna is aware or not
(E) - CORRECT, since Shayna doesn't know what Daniel prefers (honesty vs. kindness) she should NOT congratulate him. This applies the principle properly, in the negated sense.
Sigh.
