B seems overly specific as a blocking answer, which is why I was not initially attracted to it. In my head, I conceptualized that since there are maybe other factors that can instead play a role, then this answer doesn't account for them.

@ Hello. I saw a couple of other people saying the same thing that January isn't late for this cycle. What makes this cycle different?
For C, why do we give this answer choice the benefit of doubt in being able to reconcile the dilemma? What I mean is can't the proportion of income from these other products listed in the answer choice, perhaps be a portion of their income so insignificant in the total income of these farmers that any decrease in their prices would make no difference? For example, these other products sold by the sheep farmers, for all we know, could only comprise for 1% of their total income. So, when their prices go down, it could have no real impact--- leading us to believe in there being a different answer that can reconcile the dilemma posed in the question. Are we supposed to give this answer choice the benefit of doubt and go by an assumption that makes it the right answer? I was under the belief that we should not assume too much. There is no explicit degree stated of the proportion these products play in the aggregate income of the Australian farmers.
