I got this question wrong only because I picked the AC that strengthened Maurice's argument and not Jane's
I need to be more aware of reading the stimulus! This could have been an easy question if I had quickly identified my mistake!
After getting the initial right with AC C, and the BR wrong with AC D, I was confused as to why. However, looking back at my analysis, I thought AC C was incorrect because D made a stronger argument and pinpointed more of an assumption. But, AC D creates a timeline and tells us when the customers bought the car, but we don't care about this. We are more concerned with the fact of why they bought the car---> because of the alternative ( their minds were already made up about buying the car) This is clearly the more obvious answer choice explaining the why and not the when.
After doing a BR for this problem, I was confident in AC E, which is the correct AC. However, I was tripped up on AC D, and JY's explanation did not help much with why it was wrong, because it was a contender for me.
@pmh1521106 were you able to be granted testing accomodations?
