@bellybutton Thank you! Something I found about myself that may be helpful to you: I realized I was subconsciously disregarding certain answer choices because they "looked weird," or because I didn't immediately understand them on a first read. Often times the right answers are written weirdly for this exact reason! Once I realized that pattern, I decided to take a weird looking AC as a sign I need to take a moment to translate it, rather than push it aside. Hope that helps

@DulasiTennakoon RC can still be a struggle for me, but I found that stressing too much about my reading process actually made it harder for me to digest the information. For a while I used notes to quickly jot down the main ideas/purpose of each passage. I think it was a good exercise to be able to internalize main ideas, but I found it takes too much time. For this PT, I just tried to constantly center myself before each passage on authors perspective, other perspectives, purposes of paragraphs, etc. I know it's maddening hearing the same advice everywhere! But I definitely found I'm at my best in RC when I'm interacting and asking questions about the ideas as I read. Hopefully that helps!

Big PT Score Jump

I’m coming from a 150 diagnostic, studying since July. So far, my PT scores have been incredibly consistent, slowly trending upward through the upper 160s. I’ve been struggling with/questioning whether I could really break into the 170s, and then yesterday I got a 180 on PT157.

I had made some adjustments to my approach, but this was shocking to say the least.

This sudden jump is as exciting as it is overwhelming, seeing how much variation there seems to be in my execution. Has anyone else experienced a jump like this? Is this kind of jump in PT scoring common? Any suggestions for how to approach studying from here?

I guess I’d also like to give some hope to others like me who have felt stuck in the 160s. It’s possible to break out!
