I received a 167 on the June test and have a 3.98 GPA. Georgetown and Vanderbilt are top 2 choices, but I'm wondering if I should retake the test in August to increase my chances of admission and scholarships. I am a little worried about getting a lower score, which I don't anticipate but I guess is always possible.

@ Thank you so much for this, it is super helpful!! I'm definitely leaning towards doing it thanks to all the great feedback, so thank you!
Hi everyone! I am planning to apply in October and will be taking the hardest class in my department this semester. I have a feeling my GPA will drop a few points, but I'm wondering if this will matter if I am submitting materials before the end of the semester. Just wondered if anyone had experience with this. Thanks!
I have been studying with 7Sage for 6 months, with the first 3 months only spending about 1-2 hours per day. Recently with quarantine freeing up some time I have really ramped up my studying, and will complete the Core Curriculum in the next 2 weeks. I have signed up for the June test, but it has recently been announced that it will be a Flex test. With this test not being in person, I am now conflicted as to whether I should just take the June test and hope that August is in person for a second test, or push the test back to July and hope that one is in person. Obviously, pushing the test back would give me more time to study, but it is also unclear if any tests in the next few months (or even the rest offered this year) will be in person.
I would love to know what you all think about the Flex test, and how you are making your decisions as to whether to go ahead and take the Flex test or push your testing date back.
Need advice from anyone who has participated in 7Sage admissions consulting. I have been looking into the option that provides unlimited edits for one document, so I could really focus on my personal statement. For reference, I took the June test so I don't have my scores back, but I have been averaging a 169 on PTs and really want to push my application into some top-tier schools. However, I will be paying for law school apps and haven't been able to work many hours due to COVID, so I really want to be sure that paying for any sort of consulting would be worth the money. Please let me know your experience or any thoughts you have!!
I started out with a diagnostic score of 153 and have been scoring 168-172 for the last 5 practice tests, and my main struggle is consistently LR sections. I have begun doing flashcards with the logical indicators to drill which group they go with, but want to gain a lot more confidence with arguments and logical relationships. Does anyone have tips they have used to better comprehend logical arguments and practice to become more confident in these sections? Thanks!!
I recently started selling some artwork on Etsy and was wondering if I should list this on my resume - sort of like a small business. 20% of each sale is donated to charity so I thought maybe it would show creativity/service but didn't want to add it if it looks bad. Anyone have advice?
I'm just now thinking about the personal statement as well, and I would highly suggest doing the admissions course through 7Sage! They do a great job of explaining stuff like this!
I am definitely interested! Such a wonderful thing to do in light of all that is going on!
I think this is a great idea with online undergrad classes! I would love to join!
I got a 167 on the June LSAT and had a goal of at least a 168 on the August (I was PTing around 171). I was disappointed to receive my score back as a 165, though I wasn't too surprised as I did not feel confident during the August exam. I'm wondering now if I should write an addendum or just hope for the best. I know that COVID is a reason a lot of people have for not reaching their full potential, but my college came back 2 weeks early and is having all classes in-person, so my plan to take the test at home with no other responsibilities was interrupted. I'm only mentioning this to get some feedback as to whether or not this warrants writing an addendum as explanation. I would really appreciate any advice, as I'd like to get some applications out in the next week or so. Thanks for any help you can offer!!
I will be taking the June 2020 LSAT and plan to take it once more either in August or October. I have paid for the test itself, but I'm wondering when would be the best time to purchase CAS. Additionally, should I purchase the packages that allow me to send the reports to schools now, or wait until I have taken the test (in case I don't get the score I want)? Or should those be done after I take the second test so that those scores will be sent? I'm new to this whole process, so I would love any advice on this! Thanks!
@ I had the exact same experience. I ended up flagging 4 questions and completely guessing because I couldn't figure them out. Fortunately I had some time at the end to circle back, and I felt a little better about 2 that seemed right. I always have a difficult time knowing how LG actually goes until I BR, so I'm not sure what to expect just based on that.
I have read many discussions on letters of recommendation, but wanted to get some input on who to ask with my specific situation. I go to a small college, and with it being my junior year, there are about 4 professors that I have had for multiple classes who I am pretty close with and know would write great recommendations for my law school applications. I also interned for a member of the House of Reps in DC last year and will intern this summer with a rights and liberties organization located in DC. Additionally, I work on campus and play golf at my school, and I know that both my coach and my employer would be willing to write recommendations that would be very well done. I have seen before that letters from professors are better, but my two internships seem like they would look pretty good for admissions, and I wondered if employers or coaches could be added for some diversity as well. I am pretty early in the process and will take my first LSAT in June, but I wanted to be thinking about who to ask in order to give them plenty of time. Thanks for any suggestions and advice!
I take my test in half an hour and wanted to log-on early... I have gone to ProctorU but don't see anything besides my exam time. How do I connect to a proctor??

is Sarah Cohen an editor that works with 7sage or an independent consultant?
She is with 7Sage! When I signed up for consulting I received an email, so I just replied to that and requested her by name.
A few months ago I asked if anyone would provide some advice on whether or not admissions consulting was worth it. There were so many great comments (thank you to anyone who was willing to share their experience!!) and I was completely convinced. I ended up doing the unlimited editing for one essay through 7Sage (personal statement) and just finished up the final draft. I cannot explain how incredible it feels to have finished this huge part of the application processes rather than finishing it last minute.
If you are considering admissions consulting, I HIGHLY recommend Sarah Cohen - she is an incredible person to have in your corner and I absolutely would not have put together an essay that I am so proud of without her. She was able to capture a single experience I had that I never would have considered writing about and helped me make it into an exciting 2-page story. I seriously cannot thank her enough, so it feels like the least that I could do is to give her a quick plug here :)
Let me know if you have any questions about my experience, I am happy to help.
I'm interested! :)
@ thank you so much for this encouragement! I really appreciate your advice, and you're so right that most of the work has already been done. Thanks for this great perspective, I truly appreciate it!
@ I have come to a very similar conclusion about studying this week! Good to know that there are others in the same boat, and good luck with foolproofing!
I've been studying for about 6 months to prepare for the June test next week. On my first few PT after the core curriculum, LG was my best section and I was only missing 1-2 per test. Even though I do problem sets on the tough games that I have missed questions on, I now miss between 4-8 per test, which makes me a little nervous only being 5 days out from the real test. Obviously I don't have a ton of time to really foolproof, but does anyone have tips on being more consistent in LG?
I took the June test, and having the digital 7Sage format is incredibly helpful in getting used to taking it on a computer. The LSAC site also offers a few practice tests that are pretty identical to the format you can expect, so I would recommend taking at least one of those. Honestly, I was a little worried about how to prepare for taking it on a computer, but it's really not worth it as your familiarity with the 7Sage format will help a ton. Good luck!
I will be taking the June Flex test and I'm wondering what the rules are with scratch paper - how many pages, what sections it is allowed on, showing it to the proctor, etc. Also, if anyone took the May test and could explain how logging on and going through directions with the proctor went, that would be super helpful. I am starting to feel a bit nervous about test day and I think understanding everything that I can expect will ease those nerves a bit. Thank you!!
I have just taken the June test and scored a 167 - I plan to take the test in August and my goal is to score 170 or better. If you are in a similar situation or have been in my shoes, what would your study plan look like? How many PTs per week should I shoot for, and how much time should I spend drilling materials/LG etc.? I plan to spend a lot of time foolproofing games as that is the largest variable in my score (on PTs I have been anywhere from -1 to -8) as well as going through the Loophole strategy. Thank you for any advice!!!

I'll let others address the retake situation but I just want to squeeze in a congratulations! You've earned a great score.
J.Y., I know you get this a lot, but I never imagined I would receive this score, so I am eternally grateful for 7Sage and all your work!
