Starting With Older Practice Tests

Dear 7Sagers

I've only recently gotten to the point where I can get through this test.

I'm by no means out of the woods but think that now I'm at the point where my learning curve will allow me to get better and faster. My first couple of diagnostics came in around 142 :-( Right now focusing on LG's only. I was spending a lot of time going over LG problems but when I'd sit down to work a Practice Test, I could only get 5 or 6 correct. I changed my strategy and have broken through a new threshold and am getting 9 correct on the first try. On the second pass at the same LG game (timed conditions), I'll go up to +16 and by the third pass will get -2. I think this new strategy is working and if I keep implementing it I will be finishing all 4 games under timed conditions after 5 LGs, or so.

I have PTs 52-71. Right now, I've have finished 52 and 53. I don't want to use up all the more recent tests to work through LGs only and wanted to ask for recommendations regarding how far back I should go in order to get more LG practices that are still valid and relevant. Read some of the reviews on Amazon for PTs 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18 (of the 10 Actual from LSAC) and comments were mostly that the LGs, for the most part, did not reflect the current LSAT. So question is, what is the earliest PTs I should buy, that are still relevant and reflective of the most current material, to have the most LGs to practice from?

Thanks for sharing. Have you tried any meds. I've heard riddalin or Adderall work well for this diagnosis. With this diagnosis you should be able to get prescriptions from your Doctor. There's also nootropics.

My RC Sucks

Been working on June 2007 test at a snail's pace. Primarily because on week nights, I may devote hour and a half or so and Saturday's I haven't been consistent about devoting more than 2-3 hours. So I've been on this test for about 2 weeks now just working one section to the next. I'm in no way even prepared to take a diagnostic yet. Feeling like a slug right now. I did Passage three of section 4 (June 2007 test); it took me 25 minutes to read the passage, take some notes and answer the 8 questions. After 25 minutes, I only got 4 out of 8 correct. RC is kicking my ass. What am I doing wrong, what should I be doing to get my RC scores up and what should I be doing to get faster? Please help.

I won't be taking the LSAT at least for another 6 months. But when it comes time to start the application process, I am wondering if anyone thinks it will be necessary for me to take some part time courses just that I can get the academic reference? Isn't it sufficient if you have a B.S. and Masters in Aerospace and Electrical Engineering. The Masters was earned in Sep 2009. I'm just now getting informed regarding the LOR requirements.

In (E), it doesn't matter if the felony is relevant to the EA's duties because in order to be a member of the board, you can't have ANY felonies, for any reason.

In (D), you first have to be a Board member before being considered for the EA position. This implies that you can have a Felony and be a member of the board.

In (C), says UD not necessary to be accepted as an EA. This is just wrong because you have to have an UD to be a member first. Once you're a member (with a UD) THEN you can be accepted as an EA.

In (B), correct. You have to be a member of the board to be accepted as the EA.

In (A), this seems to enforce a more stringent requirement, that to be eligible you have to have a Masters Degree (and no Felony). This does not reflect the actual requirement of UD and no Felony only.

Executive board vs executive administrator and shift of language. You have to have a clear picture of the difference between a Board and a position that a board member can hold. The Board is a group of people who carry out certain duties or functions. An Executive Administrator would be one of the positions that are available to fill as a member of the board. When you see those subtle shifts, "Executive Board," "Executive Administrator", read it over again and picture in your mind how one is different than the other...
