What a TRULY AWFUL question.
The conclusion is it's FALSE that NOVEL PERVASIVE ---> PEOPLE ASSUME VAMPIRES MUST TURN INTO BATS. So it's NOT the pervasiveness of Dracula that makes people believe vampires must turn into bats.
How do we know that this belief is NOT based on the pervasive influence of Dracula? There must exist an European vampire myth predating Dracula that DID portray vampires as turning into bats. This is the inversion of AC D. If this was NOT the case, then we must assume this belief came ENTIRELY from Dracula, which anti-supports the conclusion. Therefore, D must hurt the argument...

Alternative reasoning for C: ice ages are NOT caused by cosmic dust entering the atmosphere, as the climatologists have claimed. Instead, they are caused by temperature drops shortly after volcanic eruptions spew large amounts of dust into Earth's atmosphere. Following this line of reasoning, C would NOT support the climatologist's hypothesis that ice ages are caused by cosmic dust. Why is this incorrect?

Why is nobody talking about how the principle refers to ADULTS, and that students, especially in the context of enforcing rules, homework, and 'classroom time' are likely NOT ADULTS... and we cannot PROVE them to be adults, so restricting their actions based on this principle about ADULTS is inconsistent because these students may not be adults
Crazy that this was not noticed in LSAC review
"C is wrong because we never charged Baumgartner with falsifying data"
Sure, but we also never charged him with purposely withholding information about the types of environmental hazards.
How can we assume misleading someone (regardless of intent) is DECEPTION???
