I started at 8:40 and got all the way to the fourth section, then the website crashed. I sat there for an hour while it loaded and then my proctor told me I had to reschedule. Fabulous morning!

I am going to get a 160 on the October LSAT!
I spent a little extra time on this question and ended up choosing the correct answer, B.
My reasoning was it couldn't be A because I assumed they kept fires that produced more heat next to the smoke fires so the preserved meat could be close to a cooking fire when it was time to cook the meat.
B is correct because it offers another explanation to burning the fire. It is stating that they weren't necessarily burning the lichen and grass for smoke to preserve the meat, instead they had scarce materials and used anything they could for a fire that was intended to be burnt for warmth.
Hope this helps someone!
