Quick one - is Grammarly allowed during the writing section? Can't seem to find any prohibitions on LSACs site or any information on Google.
Take all 4 sections. The LSAT is testing your mental discipline just as much as it's testing your reasoning abilities. Practice hard so you can make it easier for yourself on test day.
Dude I'm in the same kind of situation that you were in...smashing LG but stuck in that high 150s/low160s range. I get -9/-10 on LR every time. What were some of the big things that helped you with LR?
I'm stuck in a similar situation (getting 165, aiming for 170 by August). Improving Logic Games to -0 took me about 2-3 weeks, so I definitely think you could crack 170 by focusing on that section.
Don't stress over your diagnostic. The whole point of it is to see where you're starting and gauge how much time and energy you'll have to invest to get up to your goal score. Focus on your growth over time and use that as a measurement for your confidence.
Hey 7sage community,
About a month ago, I started off at a 145 diagnostic. 2 weeks ago I was able to get my score up to a 161 on PT 37, but it dropped to a 152 on PT 38 then to 145 on PT 39!
I'm always -5 or less on LG, but I've been getting wrecked on Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension.
Most of the time I can't even follow what the LR passage is saying and mix up the premises and sub-conclusions. On RC I'll get a perfect on one passage, then bomb the next.
Has anyone overcome a similar situation? My goal is 170 but obviously some work needs to be done.
Yeah I'd definitely take a practice LR section before the test. It sounds like you're in the zone by the time you hit the 2nd LR section, so doing a practice section before the test would put you in that state from the beginning.
Consistently hitting 165 on PTs is definitely achievable, especially if your timeframe gives you until June. Focus on practicing the type of LR problems you consistently get wrong. Group them together, find out your "achilles heel" on those problems, fix it, then practice some more. Go back through the Logic Games training and practice some of those too. Good luck!
Just took the August exam and will be taking the October exam as insurance. Averaging -5ish per section on LR and need to get to -3ish consistently. Goal is 165-170.
