I was asking me the same. I think that the conclusion is not explicit in the text but, if "however" tries to set opposition of the argument on the context, the conclusion would be that "there's more things to reveal about this character ( Aladdin)."

You are super right. At the beginning i was making assumptions based on the real world, then i started looking the statements as "basic rules from a fantasy book" and that helped me a lot.

is about the weakness of the assumption needed, to structure the argument, percieved from other person. if your assumption is reasonable then is less likely for someone to criticism you argument as weak. On the other hand, if the assumption that the argument used is not reasonable or is less reasonable then someone could visualize the weakness on that assumpion and then the argument is vulnerable to criticism. (For example: nobody could criticize the assumption that tigers are mammals)
