Could it be because of daylight saving? Does the same for me.
Hi everyone,
I am planning to take the August LSAT and I am having a hard time improving my LR and RC sections. On my past two practice tests I've scored a 161 with BR scores of 170 and 172 (My target score is 166+).
For LR, I've realized that my biggest barrier is time and not skipping questions I find difficult right away. So, I plan on taking timed LR sections this week to address that.
But, for RC, I really do not know how to improve my score. What strategies have worked for you? Do you reccomend getting a tutor at this stage? Should I just do tons of RC passages?
Hi everyone,
I am wondering if I am consistently scoring between -1 to -3 in untimed LR sections, should I even bother with doing more untimed sections? or should I focus on taking timed sections to be improve my time? I usually am not able to answer all questions when I only have 35 minutes, missing around 7-8 questions in the LR section.
Hi everyone,
I am just deciding when to write the LSAT again, and I do have the opportunity to study full-time from the second week of April until August 29th, but I am just concerned that this is not enough time for me and I will have to rewrite again. Having to rewrite scares me since I still have a few courses left to graduate for the 2020/2021 academic year. I can register for only one course for my first term next year to give myself enough time for applications and rewrite, but theres this fear that I will burn out and not be able to focus on school, the LSAT, and applications at the same time. For me applying next September will be ideal because the few courses remaining for me are very difficult and are likely to lower my GPA and if I apply in September, most Canadian schools will not take those remaining courses into account to give me an offer.
I wrote the July 2019 exam and got a 150 which I cancelled. I studied full-time for two and a half before the exam, mostly going through the CC and I only had the chance to complete 2 PTs before the exam. My diagnostic was a 137, so I already improved 13 points, but, I have not the chance to look at the LSAT since October 2019. Do you have a study schedule that you followed to improve at least 15 points? I need at least a165 for my top school (UBC Law).
The other option would be for me to do summer school and wrap up my courses by December 2020 and then study 6-7 months for the LSAT. However, I would have to delay a cycle and start law school at 24 instead of 23 which I am not very fond of.
I would really appreciate it if you can share some of your study strategies and opinion on when I should write the LSAT. I know that I have a long road ahead of me, but I am willing to work hard to not go to a different school. Also, I would love to talk to someone who is currently studying at Allard Hall.
Thank you in advance.
Hi everyone,
Is anyone here currently attending UBC law or has gotten accepted for this cycle? This school is my dream school and I would like to talk and get advice from a current student since I am thinking of applying in 2020.
Thank you in advance, I greatly appreciate your time.
Would be interested! I keep scoring around -6 on LR.
Would be interested!
I am really happy that you did well on the LSAT, but your claims are very general. Research shows that everyone learns differently. So some may benefit from this resource and others like yourself may not. I also do not understand how you can fairly evaluate this resource if you have never used it.
I am wondering how long each one of you spends on warming up and how do you choose which questions to do before taking a test?
Hi everyone,
I am hoping to write either the July or August 2021 LSAT, I would love to have a study/accountability partner throughout this process. My target score is a 168 and so far I have completed around 30% of the CC. I am aiming to finish the CC by late March/early April to have 5-6 months just to do practice tests. If anyone is interested in having an accountability partner, shoot me a message.
Hi everyone,
I would love to know how long it took you to reach your target score? It would be great if you can specify if you were studying full-time or part-time, and you diagnostic and final score.
I am trying to plan out when to write my next LSAT since I was not able to reach my target score after 4 months of full-time studying and to be honest I am feeling a little demotivated and I think it will help me to learn about other people's journey.
I am curious to learn what everyone else is doing to prepare themselves for the exam. Are you focusing on taking the most recent PTs and blind reviewing?
For those of you who have taken the test before, do you have any recommendations to really get in the exam mode?
Has anyone done the writing sample for the October 2021 exam this past week? And have you heard back yet from LSAC? I did mine on the 19th (I know I should have done it earlier) and I am wondering if I will get it approved on time for Wednesday. It still says result pending.
^I just called them. They said it should open tomorrow. @ are you a first time test taker? (Just saw your response, I think it is bc you have an account set-up already)
Did you sign up by yourself for ProctorU or did the LSAC send information for signing up?
Hi everyone,
Let me just begin by saying that when I started the LSAT journey back in January, I would have never thought it would take me this long.
I am thinking of cancelling my registration for September as I have not been able to score higher than 155 on PTs and my target score is a 168. This score combined with my gpa would guarantee me a seat at my target score, and I know I am capable of reaching a 168 since all my blind review scores have been around low to mid170s, the real issue for me is timing. I am entering my 4th year of undergrad in September and I have been studying for the LSAT full-time with 7Sage this summer and I do not want my efforts in the past four months to go to waste especially since I understand the LR content really well. My biggest issue is RC as I consistently score between -13 to -15 and I know I need to be reading more to improve my score.
I don't know how I should approach studying while in school as I want to make sure my gpa is not negatively impacted and I would appreciate any advice. I do not mind delaying graduation as I won't be applying until the next cycle. The two alternatives that came to my mind are taking 2 courses in the first term and aim for the January 13th exam or else take 3 courses per term for the whole year and write the April exam, I would like to write it once by April 2020 as I have a free take from the July exam which I cancelled my score. Again, since I am not applying until September 2020, I want to take advantage of increasing my LSAT score as much as possible and I think if I would take a break throughout the year and comeback to LSAT next April I may not be able to attend my target school.
Also, if anyone else is starting their studies now to write the LSAT next year feel free to message me as I am looking for an accountability partner throughout the academic year.
Hey,
We have very similar scores (both timed and BR). If you ever want to BR with someone let me know.
Would 100% recommend fool proofing the games, especially by types. It has helped me get my score up on that section greatly.
Where is the lesson for the conditional? #help
Interested in an online group, also in Vancouver!
Foolproof the games. You can get your -10 to -3/-2 with practicing each logic game from PT1-35.
Would be interested!
Hi everyone,
I recently finished the CC and took PT 36. I scored a 165 with a blind review score of 169 (I have a target score range of 166-168). However, I previously took this test preparing for the July 2019 exam, and I am wondering if there is any value to retaking exams I took in the summer of 2019? I took around 10 practice exams between PT 36-55 in the summer of 2019 and I am wondering if I should skip retaking these ones.
For context, although some of the subject matters sounded familiar, I did not remember much else.
Thank you in advance!
Hello everyone,
I finally finished the CC after 7 weeks of studying and I have around a month to do PrepTests and Blind Review but I am kind of lost where to start from here. Should I take a day or two just to review the CC content or should I just take a PT tomorrow morning? Also how should I manage fool proofing the logic games until July? Is 2 hours/day for fool proofing enough until next month?
Thank you for your advices in advance!
Hey, I would like to join as well! Currently scoring in low 160s and hoping to score high 160s by October.
Hi everyone,
I am currently registered for the June 2019 LSAT but with the exam date approaching, I have realized that my goal of improving 20 points (at least) from my diagnostic of 145 is unrealistic. I will be able to study full time starting next week (35-40hrs/week) and I am wondering if anyone has made a 20 point improvement from their diagnostic in 3 months? I will have around 3 months to study for the LSAT in I change to the July date, is my goal realistic? What about the June date? Also just provide you a little context, I am not going to have any other commitments in the next few months but to study for the LSAT and I would need 166+ (168 to be guaranteed a spot at my dream school).
Also, how helpful have the PT video explanations have been in your LSAT study. I have all the PTs from a different course which did not go as planned, and I am wondering if the 7 sage starter package is sufficient? I am just planning to use the core lessons to build a stronger foundation.
Also how does one make sure they do not burn out for studying over 3 months?
Thank you so much!!
Hi everyone,
I have finished the CC and have taken 3 PTs (36,37 and 39) scoring 149, 149 and 152 respectively with blind review scores of low 170s for all three. As reflected in my blind review score, the content is not the main issue for me but rather timing is. I have missed 1 game and 1 one RC passage for the past three timed exams and constantly miss around 6-7 questions per LR section. I am currently in the process of fool proofing games from PT 1-35 so I hope by September I am able to finish all the games in 35 minutes, but I am wondering what do you recommend for timing especially for LR sections? Do you think the jump from 149 to 166+ is reasonable with two months of full-time studying (45hr/week) focusing on timed practice? Also, since my BR is higher than my actual score currently, do you think its okay to start taking 2 PTs/week?
Thank you all in advance!
Hi everyone!
I will be starting my LSAT journey again after a 1.5-year gap after receiving a 150 on the July 2019 LSAT. I just purchased the Loophole because of its great reviews. For those of you who used the Loophole with 7Sage, what was your strategy? I am planning on going through the CC again and based on past performance, I think I can benefit from the Loophole so I would appreciate if you can share what worked for you.
Thank you in advance!
Same issue here! I was scheduled for 10:10am and did not start until almost 11:00am. Just like you, I am happy that at least I have November as backup.
I like to think now I know what the worst case scenario of external factors could be, so it cannot get any worse in November!
Any mention of when the expect to resolve the issue? Will it impact test takers later in the day or Saturday/Tuesday?
Sorry you had this experience today.
I would be interested for online! Similar score range.
Pretty much what the title asks.
Given the uncertainty surrounding LSAT dates and law school admissions for fall 2021, should I start studying for the August exam or should I take summer courses to wrap up my degree by December 2020? If I decide to take summer course, I will then start law school in fall 2022 but I will also have 6-7 months to study full-time for the LSAT. It just seems like everything is so uncertain and the safest path is for me to take some of my required courses over the summer.
In general, what changes do you think law schools will make to their admission process if April and June exams are also cancelled? Do you think their application submission dates will be extended or would they start accepting GRE/GMAT tests for the upcoming cycle?
How are you all fool proofing the logic games from PT 1-35 given the flex format? Are you still printing them out or doing them online and using scrap paper?
@ I still have not received a message, but I would be interested in a group!

I used this link and made some changes through my activity monitor. The problem was solved afterwards.
For those of you who have started law school or have gotten your target score, what advice do you wish you were given at the beginning of your LSAT journey? Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently?
Hi everyone,
I am wondering if anyone has taken the lsat at a hotel in Vancouver or the Pacific Link College in Burnaby? Both locations are very close to me and I wanted to see if anyone has previous experiences at those locations before I register, however, I'm kinda leaning towards the Pacific Link College because the hotel listed on the website is Hyatt Regency which is downtown and very close to a hospital.
Hi everyone!
I have been studying almost full-time for a few months now, and I have scored a 161 on the most two recent PT I have taken (PT 56 & 58) with a blind review scores of 172 and 170 respectively. I need at least a score of 166 for my target score (UBC) and I am planning on getting a tutor to help me with RC as I have not been able to improve that section by myself.
But, with the deadline for August coming up tomorrow, I am not sure if I will be able to get a 166 for August and I am considering registering for October test date instead. What are your thoughts? I know JY recommends signing up for the LSAT once your average is above your target score which clearly is not my case. Should I sign up for both? Or just try to get my score as high as possible for October?
Thank you in advance!
Hi everyone,
So far I have fool proofed games from PT 1-18 and another 10 between PT 36-50 (the PTs I have taken so far) and I am wondering if it is a good idea to take a week or two just to focus on foolproofing the remaining games before I start taking prep tests again? Or should I continue with fool proofing 4-5 games/week?
I just thought I should focus on fool proofing for a while since I have still been averaging around -5 of LG sections. Would appreciate your input.
