During my first time reading the stimulus I glossed over the first four words trying to get to the thrust of the argument. Unfortunately, I missed a major piece of information, "City dog licensing records" show...

I was simply considering the number of cocker spaniels instead of the number of licensed cocker spaniels. This mistake was obvious to me during blind review.

Printing them out ahead of time and putting the dates I would complete them on a physical calender ahead of time also helped keep me on schedule.

Thank you, I love organizational tips to help me stay focused and on schedule.

it is going to be a mix of luck, dedication to your studies, a good study strategy, and having the best study materials which get you as far as you can go.

This is so true. I don't want to rely on luck, but it is a factor for better or for worse. My earlier PT's were more contingent on luck and intuition, but I am trying to become more technical in my approach to every question type. Thank you for your meticulous response.

P.S. Good luck!

As a more general guide to LSAT success, make sure you're constantly cultivating good habits in as many areas of your life as possible.

99th,

This is what I love about the LSAT. It is making me form better habits overall. I agree that a deliberate exercise routine is healthy for the mind and boosts motivation in general. I added daily exercise and meditation to my task board. I'm rooting for you! Thanks for the advice!

Game-Changer Needed

Hello 7Sagers,

I have been studying for about a year. It's time for me to change my strategy. I have some lazy habits that I am determined to change. Has anyone else viewed the webinar "Our 89 Point Increase Story"? Here is the link in case you want to hear some inspirational advice: https://classic.7sage.com/webinar/our-89-point-increase-story/.

The most concrete inspirational takeaway for me was that studying for the LSAT reflects my work ethic. Ouch! In undergrad, I had a very strong work ethic but I'll admit that I have not turned it up enough notches for the LSAT. It's time to change that because I eventually want to be done with the LSAT. Tonight I am creating my "task board", something that worked for me in undergrad.

Does anyone else have a strategy that took them from simply studying to becoming methodically focused on the curriculum and self-care needed to do their best? I literally have to have my task board in my face to be sure I do this right.

Thanks in advance,

Sarah

On the LSAC website you can enter in your LSAT score and GPA to search for law schools. It will show you the likelihood of getting accepted at different schools.

December LSAT- Got My Score

So, I got my score. I did not do as well as I needed to. Are we able to see which answers we got wrong? I am registered to retake in Feb.

Good luck, everybody! For the first time I am hopeful that I will get the score I want. All this time waiting I figured there was no chance. I hope I get the email early in the morning. I'll be tied up at kid Christmas parties until 1:30! Arrghh!!

I think I'm approaching complete burn out.

What's your plan? Are you going to take more breaks? I am just coming back from a very long break and hope I see a bump in my score like you did :)

I originally chose A without realizing that it neglected to mention how the policy was written. I circled it and moved on to the next question. During blind review I caught my error and saw how B completely addresses all of the requirements.

Study with Spouse?

Hi everyone,

At some point I will find a study buddy, but I have a question...

Has anyone studied with a partner that is not familiar with the LSAT? I going to have my husband help me to review flashcards, and I've talked to him about some of the LR concepts. It was helpful to discuss it with him even though I was still shaky on my explanations and understanding of the concepts. He's interested in helping me and it's a nice way to spend time together so that I am not ignoring him while I study every night. Has anyone else tried studying like this? Does anyone have any suggestions on how this could be useful and not a waste of precious study time?

Thanks.

For LG, draw your LG boards with 'long legs,' AKA columns in your chart that extend beyond the space required for the first universe.

I really like this idea, but I haven't used it yet. It makes a lot of sense.

I'm also testing in December. I have been through the CC and am reviewing lessons to reinforce concepts. I am PT-ing once a week. Study group sounds helpful, count me in!

it's good that I kept studying, in my situation.

Yeah, I guess it depends on how we think we did on the test. I'm probably going to take at least a week off before getting back into it. But come on, why does it take them so long to process scantrons?

Wishing you better luck in December. I'm planning on retaking in Feb, but hoping that I won't have to.

How to wait for results?

If you took the LSAT in September and had to wait several weeks for your results, did you continue with your study schedule just in case you needed to test again in December? How long did it take to get your results?
