@ I’m an atheist, but I do think the Bible was on to something when they said rest 1 day out of 7.

LOL.

You can't cram for this test. It's not like you're going to have any major breakthroughs in 6 days, and the risk for shaking your confidence or burning out is very high by cramming in this final stretch.

I plan on doing a bunch of timed/untimed LG and a few rc passages here and there. Gotta just be positive, as relaxed as possible, and pray to the lsac gods that I perform just like I have been over my past 7 PTs.

Over the next week, make sure you read the rules twice. First write them out individually and then make inferences/chain together/set up boards then go through and read the rules again to make sure you are not missing anything. The PTs in the 60s were easy and so formulaic that one could fly through them once you figured out what type of game it was. Now there has to be more attention to detail. I've noticed that I have dropped 1-2 points on average too, which highlights my need to not just 'go through the motions'.

Good luck!

Hello,

Is it possible? Of course!

Have you done the 7sage curriculum or read the lsat trainer? I started with the trainer and initially used 7sage for the games. My cold diagnostic was in the mid 150s initially and I wrote the LSAT last year. I didn't get the score I wanted so when I started studying again my first diagnostic after being away from the test for 5-6 months was 157. I have reached this 10 point improvement you speak of by working through the trainer/7sage but more importantly BRing my PTs and devoting 20-30 hours a week to studying (I work full time and often have to do overtime). It took me 7-8 months to reliably get higher 160s scores during PTs this way (and I saw way more improvement after doing FULL BR as opposed to circled BR).

LSAT prep courses are expensive but 7sage has been worth its weight in gold. I'm so glad I ponied up for it because I feel it has helped me get to the score range that I felt I could acheive. You have more than enough time to prepare for June as long as you start right away. Look into joining the group BR calls. It's a tough, lonely (At times) road ahead so talking to like-minded individuals is nice.

@ With all that being said, the difficulty of each PT is, to a degree, subjective. Some PTs will have more question types that you are stronger/more comfortable with and less question types that you are weaker/less comfortable with. Other PTs will be the opposite. So while there is a certain level of consistency in terms of the difficulty of each PT, there will always be some degree of subjectivity involved in the matter.

THIS. We all have different strengths and weaknesses when it comes to the LSAT. I got a great score on (170+) on 71 but then dropped 9 points on 72. Just because I found 72 to be the hellspawn of satan does that mean you'll find it as difficult? Of course not because your strengths might be completely different than mine.

My 2c definitely echo the sentiment that RC has become more difficult during these most recent tests. From 70-76 my RC average is -6 which surprised me since I had tightened it up to between -4 to -2 during the 60s PTs. I hope that this time the experimental section is not RC like it was the last time I wrote the LSAT because I find 2 RCs to be very draining. But if it is SO BE IT because we are going to slay December regardless.

Give yourself plenty of time by taking the June test! PTing and BRing will help you improve over a longer period of time! If it's taking you that long to arrive at your circled answers you should revisit those question types in the curriculum.

Don't rush and take the LSAT in June/Oct. Future you will be grateful.

LSAT Ultimate+ Availability/Pricing?

Hey all,

I couldn't search for the answer to this as it showed every post containing the word LSAT but is it known when the LSAT Ultimate+ Tier will be available for purchase? I have Premium, and would like to get at least Ultimate, but don't want to purchase it until I see what Ultimate+ costs due to it having the Prep tests after 72 + the hard question sets.

Right now I can upgrade to ultimate for $200 USD with + being TBA. If it does get released at say 300 from my current level, if I've already upgraded to Ultimate for 200 would the upgrade cost a difference of $100? Buying test explanations individual can add up to being a lot after you toss in the USD to CAD exchange rate so to get it all bundled together with as many tests as possible would help me a lot.

Finally, I noticed that the individual test explanations went on sale a few months back. Does that happen periodically or was that simply because the pdfs were being removed?

Thanks guys!

Got an earlier shift approved for Tuesday so 5PM PST or later would be ideal for me! I did pretty good on 75 so I hope the momentum keeps trending in the right direction!!!

Just wanted to chime in as well. I got one of my highest timed scores to date on 75. It was a big ego boost after taking 72 the week before. Some tests play more to your strengths than others.

Was planning on taking a sick day on friday in preparation for the 75/76 combo on friday/sat but maybe this will work out better. We're in the home stretch, see you all tomorrow!

@ I've been training myself to turn my nerves into excitement. I get really excited to solve all of the questions on the test and read those SUPER INTERESTING RC passages.

This is great! This is definitely how I intend to handle these feelings. Thank you so much for the link to the combining anxiety article. I'm not sure that I've read it before.

@ literally the only part of my day where I don't have a constant flood of LSAT "what ifs."

Amen. Going to go for a 20 min jog before my PT tomorrow morning!

I've studied for the LSAT for the past 8 months and have written the LSAT before so it won't be my first (or even second) sitting. I've been writing a PT most, if not every, weekend for as long as I remember. I'm scoring in a range on my timed PTs that if I were to get the average of those scores on test day I could close this chapter of my life and be happy (again, if I score closer to my BR scores I'll be even happier!).

Despite all this and feeling confident I have some nerves that are starting to build as we inch closer to the exam. I find that meditation (love that 24 minute one on the site) is helping a lot but still sometimes late at night my mind begins to wander. Anyone else feeling the same?

Maybe when that happens I should go for a midnight jog.

Based on what you've written, I'd say that you're not ready to write the LSAT in December. 10 PTs at this point in the game doesn't give you enough time to let the material sink in via practicing and BR.

Ideally you'd want to have gone through 20-30+ PTs before writing the test. If you were to cram that much into the short window before the Dec test you'd probably experience even worse burnout than you're feeling now. Sometimes my biggest increases in scoring while working my way through the 160s have come from taking some time AWAY from the test. You can't force this test, I've tried and failed.

For timing during LR/RC, hold yourself to a certain amount of time per question. For me its 1:30 per on LR and ~45s on RC. If you get used to how long questions SHOULD take via PTing, you can learn when to skip a particularly harder time sink when they reveal themselves. I got caught by one of these on the Dec `14 LSAT, and it caused the rest of the section to be a trainwreck for me.

At the end of the day you want to take the test when you're PTing at a score you'd be happy with getting. I think JY said once that if you take the average of your PT scores on the last 3 PTs with a margin of error of +/- 3 that's your score range. If you're not there yet, hold off. You're undermining your success by holding yourself to some arbitrary test date. The LSAT will always be waiting for you.

@ I think they also sometimes have better trap answers

So much this! Really reinforces the importance of knowing what you're looking for before heading into the question choices.

@ Awesome! I can't wait to meet 7sagers in the flesh!

@ Aw thank you for the kind words!

Even though I under performed on the Dec 15 LSAT my score was enough to get me in to law school! While TRU wasn't my first pick of schools I am happy to attend should my apps elsewhere be declined. Knowing that I have a spot secured somewhere come the fall means all the studying was worth it! How about you?

Hey all,

Did anyone else sign up for the meet and greet happening this Friday in Vancouver, BC? By stroke of luck I'm traveling to Van from the interior in order to go to see a couple DJs that night. Decided to stay Friday night too in order to meet some of you guys and geek out about 7sage/the lsat/law school!

Should be fun!

Seems like we're in similar situations! I would say keep studying and prep for feb! I wish I could do that but this was my third take unfortunately. Heck, maybe some of the guesses on G3/G4 will be right and you won't have to retake :)

On a brighter note, I was very happy with the other sections. I don't know about you, but RC is usually my weak spot. Maybe we'll ace that one instead of LG and come out relatively unscathed!

You're right there... Game 1 felt so good that you knew there was trouble ahead! You might be on to something with game 2, even though I got through it I might have been 2 slow. I can't wait to see game 4 again and get that 'aha' inference that I missed during timed. Oh well!

I found both games 3 and 4 incredibly hard because I had that same instinct! Both those games are crapshoots for me. Hopefully the LSAT gods gave me some intuition on the ones I randomly circled! Not looking forward to my reported score :(

Really would need more info in order to offer any insight here. What tests were you writing when you got that 160-163 range? What tests did you take that you got lower than usual on? What is your favorite color?

Great advice as always @.hopkins . I have to travel to my test center and will be checking in Thursday in order to relax on Friday. I was going to order room service for breakfast Saturday morning just so I didn't have to worry about preparing food for myself (nothing too heavy.. just some eggs or something) but I should def do a test run friday morning to make sure the food is okay and check when I have to go to the washroom. On test day the last thing you need to be thinking about during RC is that you have to go #2!!!!

If you've been averaging in the high 160s during the other 70s I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe your score on 75 was a fluke! It's important that you don't let any negatives wreck your confidence heading into the test. Insert Confucius quote here:

“He who who says he can and he who says he can't are both usually right”

But at the end of the day, these are the LSATs we're dealing with now and will most likely see on Saturday. There will be a curve ball game and RC passages that I personally think are the devil. If they do revert back to easier LG/RC I won't complain but it doesn't matter because we're going to ace it no matter what.

For most of you, you already know what score you'll get. Take your last three recent properly administered LSAT PrepTests (e.g., 74, 75, 76) and average your scores. You'll get plus or minus 3 points of that average.

I remember you posting this in the past, shortly after I had discovered this site. At that time my last three PTs were below the (then unrealistic) expectations I had put on myself and I was hoping I could somehow score above that on test day. NOPE. Scored exactly my average, right where I belonged.

This quote stuck with me as I spent most of this year studying. Now I would be happy to receive the average I have gotten on 74, 75, and 76. I feel totally different heading into Saturday's exam than I did last year. I have an inner confidence that I can finally reach my true potential. That is in no small part due to 7sage's course and the wonderful community here. I might have a little bit more adrenaline on Saturday but it is just another PT.

We've all made a lot of sacrifices to get here and it is almost over... Keep your eye on the prize.

Confirm action

Are you sure?
