Of course there are different techniques and strategies because people learn differently. I know some people who got into the 170s using the PowerScore Bibles alone and other who felt like they were only okay and sought other resources for help.

The same applies to 7sage, BluePrint, LSAT trainer, personal tutors etc... These resources teach similar/the same concepts but in a different way so it is up to each individual person to assess how they learn best and use the resource(s) that cater to that so you can make the best score.

For example, I am really enjoying going back and forth between 7sage and the PowerScore books because PowerScore is slightly more detailed but 7sage is more interactive and it brings the concepts to life while also keeping my attention.

Another factor to note is that some people read faster/slower, are good/bad test takers, had a high/low diagnostic, spent more/less time studying etc. These are all important factors along with whatever study technique/resource anyone uses that makes a big difference in the final score.

Okay so from hearing everyone's responses and watching the video I think I know why making the assumption for E to be correct is wrong whereas the assumption for C to be correct is not.

In order for E to be correct, you must assume that without their pheromones they would be less efficient however this means that you are assuming they employ no other method to scavenge for food and/or the pheromone method is the MOST EFFICIENT method out of any that could be used. The stimulus does not guide us to any of those assumptions.

In order for C to be correct you must assume that another method is used to guide the ants and this assumption can be supported because the first sentence of the stimulus says that MOST ants use the pheromone method, meaning not all. But I think the better sentence to make an assumption about is the one talking about how quickly it evaporates. If it evaporates and they are scavenging then you assume they are figuring out some way to get back and forth.

Even if you apply the "logical opposite" strategy you will arrive at the same answer. The logical opposite of using the pheromone method is "not" using the pheromone method which includes, not hunting, getting lost, dying OR using another method. All of these are possibilities.
