Admission Timing

If most apps are due by Feb and March, could one turn in their application with an LSAT score on file, but still try to take the LSAT again after submitting apps? I wanted to do it to negotiate scholarships with a potential higher score, but was scared that the application wont be viewed and would be missing the deadline if I signed up to take it after submitting apps.

When does a rule override another rule?

Ex. PT 35 S3 G2 Q8 : Rule for the question is If L then P. Causing 2 options to be chosen when L is chosen.

The element T however based on the rules in the beginning causes T to have only 1 (P,L,S).

I haven't done that many logic games yet, but I thought when a question changes the rule and the possibility of T having P is possible (P,L,S is part of the board for the elements to have), wouldn't it be overriding the rule that T has to have only 1 (Rule fewer than Z, if your looking at the game and actual rule).

I know for questions that have local rules the rules for that only pertain to that question and is disregarded for the rest of the questions.

Sorry in advance if I couldn't explain what I was trying to say correctly.

Parallel Question's

I for some reason can see somewhat of links between things when reading a parallel question that asks to find a similar reasoning in the answer choices. But I can't diagram it for some reason. I am hoping that the premium version of 7sage will cover this obstacle, but just wanted to know a head of time if this is an issue for anyone else or more importantly is covered well in the 7sage videos/lessons?

Thank you!

Hi, I was wondering if I should redo as many games as I previously did leading up to test day? I feel like I should have made a list of key games that taught me inferences/lessons that transferred to other games, but I didn't :(

Or should I speed through the 7sage core curriculum one more time before the test?

Thx in advance :)

Differentiating Question Type's

MBT V.S. MSS

Flaw V.S. Weaken

How do you differentiate between these question types by using the question stem? Sometimes, I mistake one for the other...

Thanks in advance :)

@ I got kicked out of the test. I don't think you need to go out of your way to setup Ethernet, I think if your laptop or desktop hasn't had any huge disconnections the past week or month, your chances of something really affecting your score cause of time+wifi are really low. I say this because I think when you get disconnected the time might be frozen and starts when you are back in, you do miss maybe like a minute, but usually the proctor stops the time. If it gives your mind some peace, having ethernet connection would be the ideal condition to take the test.

I was plugged in via Ethernet and still had a connection issue even though my internet was working. It is sometimes on their server side or something, but we cant really know.

LSAT Retake

I was recently sent an email regarding an option to retest for the June LSAT due to technical problems. First I wanted to know if I took the retake would it count as a second attempt for the LSAT. And second, if I kept whatever the score would be (which was one of the options), would I get a voucher for a future exam date? Based on the wording of the email, it seems like if I just keep the score I would not get a voucher or something for a future test date, I would need to cancel for the voucher. Also would canceling and getting the voucher mean I have to test in August or can it be just a future date like October?

The options seem to be:

Retest on Thursday, June 24, 2021.

Keep your June 2021 LSAT-Flex score.

Cancel your June 2021 LSAT-Flex score and be registered for the next available LSAT administration. Please Note: If you have reached your test-taking limit, we will not be able to register you for an upcoming LSAT, per our Test Taking Limit (TTL) policy. More information can be found here: Limits on Repeating the Test.

Diagraming Logic Games

For games, I have just recently started to reach the harder games in the curriculum and have only practiced maybe less than 10 games. But I noticed that for some of the harder games, I have no clue how to setup the diagram. Is this ability to recognize how to diagram a game come after going through a good number of games and explanations or am I missing something? I feel like I am wasting games by watching the explanations.

Thank you in advance!

Hi, this is a tricky question, I was wondering, if I wanted to purchase the premium for a month to focus on LG and LR, could I take a break by stopping the subscription the next month, but still be able to access whatever I have done or watched? I am basically trying to see if I can watch some of the PT's LG or LR video explanations, but then have time to review it in another month without the subscription.

First time test taker, and like some of yall I got kicked out too which kinda freaked me out cause I started the second section while knowing I did worse on the first so I just completely winged it.

Is there a game similar to the Econ and Museum game? The rules really tripped me and while I could see how to diagram them, the extra variable or rule like (econ's pre-req) and for the Museum I just did not understand how to solve for worlds using the rules it gave, so I panicked.

LR:

This might be because I really only studied the theories and concepts of everything, but have like less than 5 PT's timed under my belt ( older ones at that, with like 1 PT in the 70s), I thought the language was much harder than the PT's and Timed sections I practiced with, and it seemed harder to eliminate choices (like usually I could eliminate choices based on out of context, sufficient necessary etc., usually I could get it down to two options for most of the questions especially the 1-15 questions.

LG:

I had like a sequencing game which the 6th question made me feel like I did it wrong.

I did not understand how to solve worlds for the econ because the pre-req rule/variable through me off.

And the hall and museum game I just did not know how to make worlds for the diagram I made. I think one or two of the rules confused me for this too.

Double Spacing Essay’s

Hi,

I know the Personal Statement for almost anywhere is required to be double spaced. I was just wondering if other essays like addendums and diversity statements also had to be double spaced? I know they are supposed to be shorter but a single page double spaced is not enough to really show anything unique.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I was wanting to see if anyone had any input regarding the 2 statements being somewhat similar. Is it okay for the 2 statements to have a similar topic (Ex. talking about my experiences as an immigrant). "How that experience shaped me"{for the personal statement), and "What this experience will bring for the school or classroom" (diversity statement). Or should I combine the two and make it either or, but not both...?

Applications Question

For the question that asks "are you a first generation college student' or "are you the first one in your family to get a bachelors degree", I am confused if it asking in America or anywhere overall? Might be a dumb question but I thought it was important to check as colleges in the country I am from are not comparable to colleges or even fancy high schools here lmao.

I completely understand why E is right for this question. I only have a doubt that my negation for answer choice B still make a big assumption since "not reduces medical costs by 10 percent or more" leaves room for at least some percent of medical costs being reduced (0-9%). Which would still make E the best choice.

Negating NA Answer choice's?

Hi,

I was wondering if there were rules for negating NA answer choices? Because in one example (PT 32, S4. Q19), answer choice B (Every hour devoted to the teaching of preventive medicine reduces medical costs by 10 percent or more), JY negated the answer choice by making it 1%. But I negated the answer choice as "Every hour devoted to the teaching of preventive medicine does not reduces medical costs by 10 percent or more", I was just confused if there was a rule or mechanical method that we are supposed to follow, since my negation makes the answer choice much more favorable as an answer.

Thx

My main concern was the rule that "and" in the sufficient causes the arrow not to split.

Logic: Sufficient Or

Game rule: If jays, martins, or both are in the forest, then so are harriers.

Correct way to write it: J and M -> H (basically J -> H , M -> H).

But for some reason I thought it was translated as "sufficient or" ( J or M -> H ).

Any thoughts on why it is (J and M -> H)?

Hi,

When I was working on problem sets/games today, the ( X ) symbol near each answer choice is invisible or missing. I can still click in the general area and eliminate it but it is a problem since it takes me like 2-3 extra clicks to eliminate once choice since I don't see where the (X) is.

Sufficient/Necessary

AC: "mistakes a condition sufficient for bringing about a result for a condition necessary for doing so".

I was confused by the wording of this choice, and was wondering if there was a simple explanation. It's flipping something N --> S , is what I am thinking.

Confirm action

Are you sure?
