Yeah that seems too risky...Best to ignore these superficial obstacles and crush the test on Monday!

It usually comes out a month after the test and for some reason it is two months this time which is very disappointing. I was hoping to try that logic games section I keep hearing about before the Oct. test.

Same here! Hopefully LSAC won't continue with the LG trend...

Anyone know of any logic games that have been administered that are similar to the shelves game? I've never seen anything like that and I could not figure it out during the test...not sure how to prepare for something I've never encountered.

I've done every single game released by LSAC and I can confirm I have never before seen a game like the shelving game. However, it wasnt unusual in that the game is rule-driven and as long as you do not violate any rules then anything goes. So I solved the game by just trying out different possible game boards.

LG was easy but weird. I skipped the first game after first read, because it was not a usual game, did the second game, finished it well. Read the third game, it was unusual, so i skipped it, Did the fourth game, it was easy. Reread the first LG, and it was easy, and I understood it. Then did the 3rd game, it was easy, but did not finish the last 2 questions in time. I am feeling like a -3 on this LG. Not happy. RC felt really hard, and RC tends to be my strongest section. It felt really hard. I had to trust my low resolution, because my high resolution was not good. LR, I was hoping the one with 25 was not experimental. But oh well. the first LR with 26 was hard.

I had the same ex> @ said:

Does anyone remember what the experimental RC section topics were? I feel like it was the economic theory passage and something about buildings

Yeah the first was about the Watts building and the second about Indian astronomers whether they borrowed from Greek astronomers and the A/B was economic theory about utility and the fourth I dont remember....But I thought that the experiemental was wayy easier than the real one.

No that is definitely not normal. I think a complaint is warranted.

Wow...so the unstated but implied conclusion of the correct answer choice (that the thesis is not correct) is the actual conclusion of the argument. The LSAT writers are taking things to a whole new level.

I got this right but I read answer choice C as saying that the group migrating has more butterflies than the group not migrating, not the size of a single butterfly.

They really wanted to test us on what do these two people disagree about didn't they? Is it confirmed that the LR 25 was experimental? That had to be the easiest section.

Yes! There were sooo many disagree questions.

It's been already two years you wrote this post but I want to say thanks to you for sharing your awesome insight! I'll practice the way you teach and I feel like that would really help me to get better scores!:)

Thanks @ for bringing this post back! This post needs to be read by every 7sager.

Yeah scores come out June 27 even if you have not done the writing sample. I remember reading somewhere that LSAC wont report your score to law schools until the writing sample is turned in.

cant wait for the next episode when he interviews LSAC.

My question is how to translate: the only obligation is to act in the best interests of their own side. Does obligation here act as a necessity indicator? So Does this mean that if something is in the best interest of either party the party is required to act on it? or that if there is an obligation for either party the party must act in their own best interest?

I would withdraw if I was in your position. Assuming that you do not HAVE to start school fall of 2020 I would recommend that you keep studying until your scores are more reflective of your ideal score and then consider sitting for the actual thing.

We were allowed to for July, but you should email LSAC about future tests (and please let us know).

LSAC finally responded to my question:

" Analog (nondigital) wristwatches are permitted in the test room. However, the watch may not have a dedicated start/stop functionality independent of telling time, but it may have an altered faceplate and a rotating “diver’s” bezel. Please be advised that timing devices of any other kind are not permitted."

Thanks so much for posting this @ ! I've been researching into different law schools' programs and I noticed that Michigan has an extensive list of clinical programs. I know you are just starting your second year so you may not have had exposure to the clinical programs but if you do have such experience I was hoping to hear about them.

For me this question depends on understanding the word "impunity". Not trying to sound condescending but do you know what that word means?

Answer choice B is so tricky because it poses as something the argument needs. What is needed is that aerobic groups got more aerobic exercise than the weight lifting group. Saying that the aerobics group did not also lift weights adds nothing to the flawed experiment.

Digital test clock - counting backwards

So the digital test clock counts backwards from 35 minutes to 0. This threw me off when I took my first digital test because Im so used to using an analog watch. For those who have taken the digital test do you know if we are allowed to use an analog watch during the test?

#help I interpreted (D) differently than JY. He interpreted (D) as saying that persons with low levels of enzyme C due to some other reason than a genetic mutation do not get gum disease. Interpreted like this it is easy to dismiss (D) because obviously the research in the stimulus is only focused on bringing a person's enzyme C level to normal. So it would not matter why the level was low in the first place. I understood (D) as referring to the group of individuals without the genetic mutation and without low levels of enzyme C and gum disease. Negated, (D) seems to be saying that there is a part of the population that the argument didn't account for when it concluded that gum disease will be eliminated with this new research. (D) is talking about that part of the population without the genetic mutation and without low levels of enzyme so it seems to me that (D) negated si pretty bad for the argument...what am I missing? I chose (E) but I've also been grappling with (D) during BR.

I thought the same thing too so I picked C. But I think another good takeaway from this question is to focus on the wording of the question stem for RC. The question asks, "the passage provides information sufficient to answer which one of the following questions?" I guess we can say that the passage does not provide enough information to definitively answer whether or not steel is a metal.

[Edit]

Thanks everyone for your interest! I've connected with someone.

The study buddy feature is not working for me for some reason so I thought I would post here. If you are studying for the October/November test, scoring in the 150s or low 160s and looking for a free tutor please message me. I am also preparing for the October test (and registered for November) so it will be a good way for me to both share and strengthen the strategies that have helped me.

I am consistently going -4 to -2 in RC, -6 to -2 in LR, and -3 to -0 in LG. Also, I prefer to meet in person so if you are in or near Chicago and its north suburbs please let me know!
