The point about answer C setting a floor below which we should not loose any more species made sense, but I also took issue with the element of benefiting humans specifically because the stimulus didn't include anything about this
If they showed the answer choice A explanation in the core curriculum when learning SA vs NA that would have cleared up so much then, it was super helpful at clarifying what ik as gut instinct was wrong but didn’t have an explanation for
I think assuming the energy grid is the same is safe here, the bigger consideration is that businesses use a lot of power, and that isn’t stopped by the request for residents to use (comparably less) power by using their personal ACs less, which still causes outages. It’s like how individual peoples’ efforts at carpooling are important but won’t do much for the environment if other people keep using private jets, which disproportionately cause pollution.
Being so serious, small fun stuff like the casual simpsons reference really pushes me through the curriculum
