Hey guys,
So I have the Cambridge packets for LR and I was just wondering what is a "proper" method for drilling weaknesses?
I got this question wrong and chose D because I thought it meant saying the chair of the department is also on the textbook committee of the actual textbook company, implying a conflict of interest.
Hey guys,

Hi i am a bit confused with the logic diagramming if somebody could please explain to me why it is diagrammed this way and not with "some" relationships. Thanks.
I just hope I can get out before 2, but thanks for everything, I really appreciate it.
To me, it's not completely understandable; realistically, you just have to ask yourself: "what's more important? Salah, or LSAT?" For me, and I would assume for both of you, too, it would be salah. So I don't see it as justifiable to miss Salah, and make it up later in favour of accommodating the LSAT. Rather, I'd try and maneuver around the constraints of the LSAT in order to accommodate salah.
Montaha, I'm cool with this, but we need actual evidence that such a ruling doesn't solely apply to a traveler. I'll look into it and I'll reply on this thread for anyone else in the future.
Yeah I know of combining the prayers, but that ruling only follows when the person is travelling from his home city/town. I won't be travelling away from my city, so I don't think I can join Dhuhr and 'Asr. But realistically, I think I should be good if I finish before 2.
Hey guys,
I'm Muslim, so I observe the 5 daily prayers. I'm concerned that the LSAT next Saturday will interfere with the midday prayer (Dhuhr), and I can't miss it. The window to pray opens at around 12:15 PM and ends at like 2:00 PM. Do you guys think I'll have time to pray after the exam, assuming it starts at like 9:00 AM, and if not, how would I go about praying during the break? It only takes like 5-7 minutes to pray, but it'll be hard to find a location to pray during the break. Should I just ask one of the proctors to take me somewhere in the building so I don't get in trouble for leaving the vicinity of test area? Has anyone else had a similar concern/experience? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
/Sleep -> RT OR LT (or both)
Solution is simply the contrapositive
/RT AND /LT -> Sleeping.
Skim AC for the words "or" in premises and "and" in conclusion"
Thanks, Alex! I'm honestly willing to do 3-4 exams a week, I don't feel it will hurt me because I can do an exam, take an hour lunch, come back and blind review for however long it takes. What do you think? That way I can do more PTs and be able to learn how to gauge what my score might be.
Yeah December, but it's a rewrite and my target score isn't substantially high so as to postpone. I need literally anything above 155 to get into a Canadian school.
Hey guys,
I remember seeing someone say it isn't good to do PTs sequentially because when you get to the 70s, scores typically tend to drop significantly. I was thinking about doing 1 in the 60s, then 1 in the 70s, and then keep that same order throughout.
What do you guys think about this idea?
I've noticed with these questions it is most common for the other person in the argument to either disagree with an assumption they make, one of their premises or their conclusion. In this case it is an assumption.
Hey guys,
So, I'm tripping out since the September LSAT is coming up so quickly, and I don't feel ready. When I say I don't feel ready, I know the most common response from everyone will probably be "postpone then" or "don't write until you feel ready," but the score I need to get into my school of choice would be somewhere in the mid 150s. I've posted before, and I've taken all of the advice that everyone has given me, and it definitely helped. However, yesterday I just had a terrible feeling in the 15 minute break of my PT, and I stupidly decided to correct the first 3 sections of the exam, just to see where I was at (I know, I know, really stupid, shouldn't have done it). As my feelings suggested, I got shit on; I got -11 on LG (I KNOW) and I couldn't believe it, I mean, I typically score between -3 and -1, which is OK for me, since I only need to get a 155 to get into the school I want. I got so mad after that, that I threw out the PT I was doing, and left school (where I was studying) and just went home and did nothing. Now, I just feel like shit all of the time, and I keep thinking to myself "what if this happens on game day?" "should I just write and cancel?" I literally have no confidence left. I kind of just want to write a PT and get in my goal range, just to boost my morale a bit. But I am also preparing to write this December as well. I've been doing timed LG sections, and doing well on them, but I just feel in the gutter, and I don't know what to do at this point. Sitting out this cycle is really not an option either, but do you guys think getting a score in the mid to high 150s range this close to game day is possible, given my circumstances? My average PT score is 155, and I wouldn't be so worried if I was in the 160s consistently, but it is what it is.
Now onto the rewrite, so I haven't really used 7sage all that much to study (stupid, I know, but as you guys can tell, I'm prone to stupid decisions), but I bought this course plan so I could have some LR explanations for some PTs. I did do a bunch of lessons in areas I was weaker in, but I would say I only did around 50% of the CC. I used the Powerscore Bibles for 3 months, until I discovered this site, which I must add is 1000000 times better than Powerscore, I was planning on just doing the CC from September 26 until December 3rd, and I generated a study schedule with it, and it seems pretty comfortable to me. It gives me 42h/week, which is OK, considering I've already done many of the lessons and they would most likely just be refreshers. I've only done 11 PTs (36, 52, 41, 53, 54, 55, 56, 70, 63, 67, 71) so I still have a bunch for a December rewrite, and the study schedule generator gives me like 3 or 4 PTs to do per week, but I feel like I can do 5 per week, so I might do that.
For background, in case anyone was wondering or has some specific knowledge applicable to my situation, I'm applying to University of Alberta Law School, wherein the most recent applicant profile shows what every regular applicant had GPA-wise and what their coinciding LSAT score was. I'm at a 3.93 GPA, so I could possibly get in with a 152, provided the averages stay fairly similar, which has been the case for the last 7-ish years, as per my conversation with the admissions lady at the school. This is just in case anyone was wondering why I would be happy with the score stated above.
Also, I just wanna say I LOVE 7sage, and its discussion forum. You guys are phenomenal people.
I just got an email! I did get the exam as a PDF on my LSAC account, just not my answer sheet.
Do I get my answer sheet and stuff? Or just the exam?
Can somebody please explain to me the difference between MBT and NA questions? I'm a bit confused in that they both MBT so whats the difference?

When I say 5 sections that is 4 regular and one experimental. I did not include the writing section. I had to take the exam like everyone else but under different time constraints.
Do accommodated test takers write the same LSAT as everyone else writing that day, or are they given a different version?
Thanks so much, Dillon; I really appreciate!
So I've taken a look all around the forums, and watched the videos on the Memory Method, but I was just wondering how you guys think I should try and implement the Memory Method into my test-taking habits for the December LSAT? I have the freedom to study everyday, so whatever you guys suggest is cool, I just want to improve my RC a little bit, at least (I'm consistently at like -13).
Essentially, I want to know how often to practice, and how I should practice using the Memory Method?
Thank you guys, appreciate any help I can get!
Is PT C2 considered as representative of modern LSATs as the exams in the 70s are?
So no video explanations for 79 at all? Or will they just come after the December 3rd LSAT?
@ Yeah, I'll reactivate you if you expire before then.
Hey Dillon, my access expires in 5 days. Would you mind extending me until December 3rd?
Hey guys,
I have Superprep II, in hard copy, and I only bought it for the C2 exam, but is there anywhere that I can get C2 as a PDF? So that I have a clean copy of it after I take it. I like to print out LSATs rather than doing them in a book, too, so that I can easily insert my experimental section in there.
Does anyone else find the games in the earlier PTs (35 and under) to be harder than the newer ones? In the 70s, the first 3 games are always so easy, and then there's just 1 really hard one at the end. But the earlier exams I feel are so much harder. No clue why.
My goal score is 154-157, and I'd be really happy with anything in that range. My question is: what should I be PTing at so that I am safe to get a score in that range? These are my PT scores:
PT36 Dec 2001 2016-08-18 3 weeks ago 160
PT52 Sep 2007 2016-08-26 2 weeks ago 159
PT41 Oct 2003 2016-08-30 1 week ago 152
PT53 Dec 2007 2016-08-30 1 week ago 153
PT54 Jun 2008 2016-08-31 1 week ago 154
PT55 Oct 2008 2016-09-08 7 hours ago 154
The times aren't exactly when I did the tests, they're just when I entered them into the Scorer. I write on September 24th, by the way, and I know my scores are kind of inconsistent, but I'm gonna write 10 more exams before test day, and I'll keep you guys posted. But is my goal feasible in the timeframe I have?
Which PTs should I use to study for December? I've only done 12, and December is a rewrite for me, so I've pretty much finished studying, and I want to focus as much as I can on PTs and improving my weaknesses. Also, which order should I do the PTs in, and how many per week from now until December? My ideal score is a 155-157, so you guys don't need to worry about where I'm at in terms of PTing (in case anyone was suggesting to postpone), I tend to get around that score fairly consistently, but there are random times (3 times) where I get like a 152-154. I'm also pretty much ALWAYS going -12 to -14 on RC, how can I improve this in 2 months time? Would you guys suggest trying to implement the Memory Method? I'm kinda stumped.

If my access expires from now until then, am I still good?
Hey @"Dillon A. Wright" ,
I was wondering if you guys were doing one of those deals where you'd extend access for people who run out a few weeks before an upcoming LSAT administration. Mine runs out with a little bit more than 2 weeks to go until December 3rd's LSAT. Would you guys be able to extend my access until the December LSAT is over, please and thank you? Thanks a bunch, I love this place! I just hope I never have to use it again after December! LOL
Hey Dillon, would you mind extending me by like 24-48 hours so I can call my credit card company and get them to raise my limit so that I can pay for all of the upgrades I want?
It's with a heavy heart that I've decided to postpone this whole cycle, I'm going forego writing the December 2016 LSAT in favour of writing the September 2017 LSAT. I'm scoring in my current target range of the mid to high 150s, which would comfortably get me admission into the Canadian schools I wanna go to, but my GPA is so high (3.94) that I feel it would be an injustice to get an LSAT that low. Therefore, I've decided I want to go to Harvard, or Yale, and my GPA is at those standards, but I want to get an LSAT of a similar calibre to that of my GPA.
I've decided to take a little bit of time off, and then start fresh in a few weeks and write in September 2017. I'm going to upgrade to Ultimate + and extend all the way until September 2017.
Inspiration came from Alex Divine's post a while back, HLS, here we come.
Hi everyone, It might be a little late but I would like to share how I've handled ramadan LSAT studying so far. And with the strategy I am about tell you about, I've actually been more productive than I was prior to Ramadan. You will have to adjust your sleeping pattern which might be hard initially but it helps a lot. During suhoor, I drink a large coffee to get me going. Fajir here in Edmonton is around 3am and maghreb is around 10pm. Then I go to the university right after fair and study all the way until around noon which is when I start getting fatigued and hungry. I take a quick power nap which helps me get a couple more hours done before the hard hunger pains come. Usually around 2pm I stop studying, go home and sleep until maghreb which is about 6-7 hours of sleep. Then, I break my fast, relax, go to taraweeh then take a small nap of about an hour until suhoor and repeat. Also, I assume this method depends on if you work or if you are in school also. For me luckily, I took the summer off to study for the LSAT so it wasn't a problem. I found myself being much more productive than I was before because right after suhoor till late morning, I do not hungry or fatigued yet so that Isn't an issue i had to deal with. Also, during the early morning, there is not much happening in life (social media, nobody to talk to) so it was very easy to not get distracted. Also, I felt like sleeping 6-7 hours in the day to get the essential hours of sleep to function, relaxing afterwards and eating, then take another swift nap before going to study really helped me from getting fatigued versus the usual one shot 8 hours of sleep I was doing prior to ramadan. I hope this helped! Good luck to everyone and Ramadan Mubarak.
What is the point of the first sentence then? It threw me off and don't understand the point of it.
