Hello,

I have a question about these two choices

1. the argument takes for granted that the higher sales of established products are due to effective advertising

2. the argument confuses a condition necessary for increasing product sales with a condition that will ensure increased sales

So I thought in the stimulusu says

lower sale(This season's sales...)→ill conceived(Thus...)

Then 1. says effective ad→higher sale

So this looks like contrapositive of what the stimulus says

(ill conveived=effective ad)

In 2. I thought it says higer sale→effective ad is actually the correct one, and because the stimulus says lower sale→ill conceived, it confuses the sufficient and necessary.

Why I cannot think this way?

Thanks

Hello,

So I have applied for accommodations, but I did not explain why I do not have previous records or papers in the statement because there was not enough space to put it.

Can I send an email to them to explain it now? It's about a week, but I have not received their decisions yet.

Or should I wait for decision and if I'm denied or asked to submit additional documents, then send emails and explain it?

Is there anyone sent emails to add information to your statements?

Once it's denied, would it be difficult to acquire the accommodations even though we submit additional statements or documents?

Thanks,

Do you still rush through in Q1-10 in LR?

So I have heard the first 10 questions are easiest and you should just pick the ans. you think correct without seeing other choices bc correct ans is so obvious...

Is this still true today?

And if so on average how long do you take per question in this range?

Thanks

How much can RC be improved?

I did som RC sections today untimed and it was like...around -10.

I'm sure I will make more mistakes if it is timed...

This is seriously my weakest section.

How to improve RC? I read some prep books, and they recommend to take notes, but not sure I have time to do so...

What kind of things are you doing for preparing for RC? Just read&do questions?

Thanks,

Do you Cook or Buy?

Hi

So this may be a weird question, but do you cook? or buy?

I think I read somewhere, food is also important, but go shopping, cooking, and washing dishes kind of take time...which is good for studying? Saving time or nutrition?

Thanks

Does this happen to you?

It took 2-3 hours to figure out why correct answer is correct...cannot believe it.

I have several questions like this per LR section...am I wasting time?

Does this happen to you? Or am I taking too much time for just one question?...I mean I'm writing down why it's actually correct for reviewing later, so that takes time too...

Do you do this? Or do you just remember or refer to explanations, and if you miss the same question, you just go back and refer to the explanations again?

I have done 20↑ PTs and old ones a long time ago...

I kind of basically did all of PTs, but not enough reviews.

How much can I improve in 2.5 month? I just need to review&re-do questions I missed&improve timing I guess...

I'm not sure how much I can improve, maybe none?

I was wondering to take Sept or Dec.

I'm not in the range that I want to but...if I cannot improve a lot, maybe I should just take Sept one?

Hi, so I have already graduated from a college 5 years ago and now pursuing master degree...I'm thinking to work again for a few years after I finish master degree and then take the exam. In this case, do they see the GPA from my college and master school?

I heard somewhere if the GPA is more than 10 years old, they don't actually see it.

Is this still true today?

Thanks

Hi, Are you 7sage people or a student?

I would like to contact 7sage people, but there is no phone number.

Do you think you can reach them?

@

Did you ask for 5 sections or did they just assign 5 sections for you?

Since montaha said they started 6 sections for accommodated students too, I'm wondering we need to ask for 5 sections if we want to do so.

Thank you

@.rizeq

I thought I bought the course yesterday (or the day before yesterday?) but for some reason I cannot access to it...I could do so yesterday though.

I tend to mess up things especially recently as the test is close and I feel very upset now...

Thank you montaha :)

I feel very relieved.

Yes hope they will not do that soon...or at least they will allow us to use paper ver if we ask for it.

By the way, do you know whether we can contact 7sage people on weekends too?

Do they have phone number?

By the way, did you have 4 sections or 5 sections on September test if you took it?

I saw somewhere people say they changed their policy and starting from September there will be 5 sections for accomodated students. Is this true?

Thanks.

But we have to submit all of the documents again right?

Do we check the "equivalent" box on the first page of one of the documents? Or say No because it is additional accommodation?

I'm not sure whether I have to choose all of the accommodations that I'm granted AND the new one I'm asking for.

Can we email those documents or do they just accept by mail?

I wonder how people deal with eyestrain when this happens/happened?

How could you keep focusing on the test?

I'm worried I'll lose points on easy questions if I lose concentration...

Ah, got it, thanks.

Other than that, we should just bring the same things as other students right?

Can we have some snacks during the rest time between each section?

What is confirmation letter?(accomodation)

What is "confirmantion letter"?

When do they upload it?

Is it a letter that tells us which test test center we are assigned to?

It says "granted" on the other letter they uploaded, but it also says they will send/upload cinfirmation letter...what is this?

Thanks,

Thank you so much for your answers.

It helps a lot.

I have to show them the item so I think I have to email them (attach a picture of it) but

I will prepare for the documentations while waiting for their replies.

Again thank you both! :)

By the way...if we do not request, we cannot bring anything into the classroom basically right?

Even during the break time?

Thank you so much for your replies.

So...I do not have to email them to submit another form but just mail those documents again right?

Do I have to include previous requests too? Or just the new ones?

I wonder whether I have to type the statements that I have already submitted or just new statement for the new request...

Thanks

Accommodation question

Hello,

I'm not sure whether anyone knows an answer to this question, but could anyone give me advice? :(

So my accommodations are granted, but I found that I may need to ask one more accommodation.

I thought I do not need it, so I did not ask before, but after a long period of studying I found that I actually need it.

Can I email them and ask about this?

Or if I do so would it cause any troubles?

Thanks

So...I assume we can use this kind of coice as weakener as well?

Such as...

A will happens because B happens.

C is similar to B and this does not trigger A, so what the author says is not true...??

And, "irrelevant" is when C and B are not similar at all, so cannot relate to the argument right?

When do you eliminate answer choices as "irrelevant"?

User Avatar

Hi @

Thanks for your answer,

@ If a stimulus is hypothesizing a cause/effect, correlation, or a simple possibility, a strengthener may simply show that that cause/effect, correlation, or simple possibility is in fact found elsewhere.

So what about other cases that do not involve cause/correlation relationships? Cannot come up with an example, but...

Can we still use "other" but similar situations to support the phenomena discussed in the stimulus?

And,

Can we use this kind of choice to weaken what discussed in the stimulus?

Such as...similar situation→not the phenomena

I was just wondering when those choices discussin other cases can be used as strengthener/weakener...and when they are irrelevant.

Because I saw in many cases people eliminate those answer choices because they are discussing "other cases" so not related to the specific case in the stimulus.

I'm not sure what distinguish them...when is/is not useful to influence what is discussed in the stimulus.

Sorry if my question does not make sense :(

I'd appreciate further clarification.

Thanks,

Hi,

I thought "other cases" are alwas irrelevant to the case discussed in the stimulus...

I thought "yes, maybe that happens in this case, but may not in the specific case discussed in the stimulus."

So I kind of always eliminate those answers.

But for example in PT 71 Sec 1 Q12...the correct answer is B, which uses other mountainous regions to support the argument.

I cannot recall exact question numbers, but I'm pretty sure those answers including "other" things are red flag...

So my question is...

When do these "other" choices work and when do not?

Do they work in support/weaken questions always?

I just thought those "other" cases are irrelevant in discussing what happens in the stimulus.

I'd appreciate any insights.

Thanks
