Help on immigration law !

Hi former 7sage subscriber to LSAT resources, which helped me get into Pepperdine Law ! I was wondering if anyone who has taken immigration law would mind sending me their outline and/or notes? This is the first time my school is offering this course, so I'm struggling to find an immigration law outline to help guide my studying and my own outline. Would appreciate it so much thanks.

Hey. I'm glad to hear other Latina perspectives on this forum. First of all, your story is so unique and beautiful. Law schools want different perspectives and I know your story will matter to them. I would advice you to take it step-by-step. You're already scoring high, so you'll be competitive enough to get a full scholarship depending on the law school. I recommend looking into UCLA Law. They have a few full scholarships. I also recommend looking into Seattle University. They have a full public interest scholarship. First worry about taking the LSAT. Then worry about applications after. Take care of your mental health. Your priority should just be the LSAT for now. So watch a movie, read, hang out with friends to balance studying out. Then after the test, you could worry about other components of the application. I hope this helps. Sending you positive vibes.

Hey sending you positive vibes. You're not alone. I've cried a few times during my study process. I think it's important to let go of perfection and prioritize your mental health. I would also study 8-10 hours a day and then eventually realize that I get more work done with 6 hours a day. You need to allow yourself to have a break so your brain can absorb the information you learn. Also you have a pretty good score so far, so commend yourself for the progress you have made. I hope you feel better.

Advice with setting up LSAT study schedule

Hello,

I plan on taking a year to study for the LSAT and possibly take in June 2020. I was wondering if ya'll recommend studying full time or getting a part time job and study part time. My LSAT score was a 148 and my goal would be to reach the 160s. Any LSAT study tips/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Applying for Accommodations

Hello,

I'm currently working on my application for disability accommodations and had a questions for those of you who went through the process. I was wondering if the documentation from the qualified professionals needs to be submitted by me or by them individually? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to write this post for people who have been diagnosed with a mental illness/disorder and are considering applying for disability accommodations. If you feel like studying for the LSAT is a lot harder because of your diagnoses, my advice is to consider talking to a therapist about applying for disability accommodations. I was diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder my junior year of college and got good grades because most of my finals were take home and had amazing understanding teachers. However, the LSAT was something that I just had a lot of difficulty overcoming and felt like I had to sacrifice many things in my life and study 10 hours daily just to catch up on time loss from getting stuck on obsessions or doing my compulsions. After one year of studying and talking to my therapist, I realized that OCD is something that I simply couldn't shut off when taking practice tests so I applied for disability accommodations for extra time and got it! I realized that life does't have to be so hard and that accommodations was going to put in a fair playing field. I'm writing this post because a year ago when I first started studying for the LSAT, I didn't know that I could qualify for LSAT accommodations because I assumed that it was only for people diagnosed with a learning disability. But now that I know more, I wanted to write this post for anyone who also has OCD or a different mental illness to consider applying for accommodations. You deserve to make life easier for yourself. I hope this message can shed light for other OCD sufferers studying for the LSAT (3 & def sending positive vibes for the disability community ! We are strong and worthy of going after our goals.(/p)
