The stimulus doesn't indicate the seeds must be exposed to sunlight immediately, so why can't they just receive sunlight the day after being churned? AC A doesn't seem to be necessarily true based on the information given.

Difficulty with conditional logic on LG

I've found that the games I struggle with most consistently involve conditional logic. I don't have any trouble understanding the logical relations themselves, but the complexity of the rules gets me very confused. For example, when a rule says something like, if A is before B, then C is before D. An example of a game that gives me trouble is PT78.S2.G3: https://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-78-section-2-game-3/

Does anyone have any advice on how to approach these games?

The reason I didn't choose A was that the words "only if" seemed too exclusive. How do we know there aren't other possible reasons an employee could be replaced? How do we know this is the ONLY reason an employee should be replaced?

This question is tricky because you read "food-borne illnesses" and immediately cross it out for being irrelevant. If I had read through the entire AC I would've seen the connection.

I don't like this question because the "after all" seems to me to indicate extraneous information. I don't see how the power plant safety part fit into the logical relationship.

Thank you guys for the answers. It's a difficult trade off -- wanting to be as fast as possible but also very careful so as not to make mistakes when reading the rules. I agree it's worth spending a little extra time upfront before hitting the questions.

Because I keep making this mistake, I think it may be worth taking the extra 15 seconds per game to double check that you read the rules correctly. Altogether this would take a minute or less for the four games combined. I think this is very much a time well spent given the potential waste of time from misreading a rule.

Accidentally misreading a rule on LG

On both my last two PT's, I misread or altogether missed a rule during LG that cost me a lot of time before I realized my mistake. I am really worried about this happening to me during the real test. It happens to me very frequently and can make an easy game feel completely mystifying. Does anyone have any strategies for how to avoid doing this? I know the obvious answer is to slow down, but I feel the need to move fast since I am very slow when it comes to LG. I usually never get to the fourth game in time.

I picked A, but then switched to E on BR because I thought it was the contrapositive. Is it not the contrapositive?

Thank you both for your responses. I am going to use these strategies for my next practice test. It seems that my problem is that I am spending too much time parsing out the right answer, re-reading answer choices, and being indecisive. It goes against my instincts to select an answer and move on before I feel certain about it, but that is what I must do to complete the section.

How do you improve timing?

I've just taken my third practice test, and not once have I finished a single section on time. Sometimes I have as many as ten questions left on a given section. I am able to do fairly well on my BR (168 on my second test), so I think that comprehension is not the main problem. I am just not able to get through the questions quickly enough. I would appreciate if you guys could share with me what methods you used to become faster at taking the test.

As your BR score increases and stays high, your PT score will naturally increase because things will click under time pressure much more quickly.

That's what I'm hoping. I feel like my understanding of the concepts keeps going up, and I expect to start achieving BR scores in the 175-180 range. What's really holding me back is my ability to complete the sections under the time restraint. I do really well at LR and RC, but typically bomb LG. However, when I do blind review I end up getting almost the whole section correct. The problem is I don't make the inferences quickly enough. Then I panic when the rules don't start clicking together and it becomes even harder.

I think I'll be able to complete the logic games more quickly if I can understand the different types and sub-types of games better and how to diagram them (instead of staring blankly at the screen and thinking "this game is weird.")

Timed score vs. BR score

What do you guys make of your BR score? Do you see your BR score as your potential timed score or is there always going to be a margin of difference between timed and BR? On my second PT I got a 156 timed, and 168 BR, so a 12 point differential. Have you guys found that you are able to close the gap between the two scores over time? Is there like a goal differential I should be setting for myself, such as 5 points or something?

The problem is that with any question type, there are both easy and hard questions. You may be skipping a very easy question with that strategy.
