The first RC passage was arguably the most difficult and convoluted I've ever experienced. It was very abstract. I was expecting a one or two-star difficulty passage to start. Interestingly, lots of folks here saying RC was normal for them. Did anyone feel like they had a similar experience to me?

Also, I didn't know a harder passage could come first. I thought RC passages came in order of difficulty always.

The RC seemed very challenging for me, but perhaps because my dumba$$ did them out of order (my game plan was to do the passages with most questions first). I only had 5mins left to do Inuit and was pissed because I really guessed and those would’ve been easy AF to answer had I gone in order. I loved the LG section and felt ok about the LR

Took it earlier. Felt really good about LR as usual. Surprisingly RC felt pretty good. A little scared about LG. The first, third and last games weren't too bad, but for some reason, I just could not process something about the classes in upper and lower halls game. Had to guess on a few of those due to time.

I did great on that one (at least I think I did). I just drew out every possible scenario real quick. The museum game is the one that tripped me up. I was sure I had it all right and then the last question had me realizing my lineup was wrong and the previous five questions were probably wrong based on that. Oh well. This set of LG was definitely the one to get a -0 on, and I probably screwed that up. I felt like all the games would be labeled no more difficult than a 3 here on 7sage.

Feel pretty good about the test, but LR is always a toss-up. I've thought I did pretty well only to see I missed 12-13 on LR. So hopefully July 1 brings good news. That LSAT was definitely easier than any PT i've taken in the leadup to this thing.

Yea this June lsat seemed a lot easier than most of the 80s tests, esp the LG. It was my third time taking it though so maybe that’s why it felt easier? 😆I’m cautiously optimistic and just biding my time till 7/1.

This was my 3rd flex, and the score will be what it will be. Acknowledge the thoughts about the test and then let them drift away likes bubbles in the wind. Life is so much MORE than this test. I know a lot of lawyers and they barely remember the hell of LSAT phase, or perhaps they’ve all blocked it out. Lol. Either way, this is a SMALL small small part of our lives and careers. Worse case, we take again. No.big.deal! You got this

I just finished the test. My first section was RC and I dont know if it was the nerves causing me to not focus well or if the passages / questions were harder than usual, but I feel defeated by RC lol. LR and LG felt pretty normal??

RC was hard for me too but I felt like LR and LG were normal/easier

I just finished my LSAT. Some pros- easy proctorU experience, I wasn't nearly as nervous as the last two times, and LG seemed do-able and easy. I'm sure anyone who is a champ at LG easily did well, but I ran out on time on the last one and had to guess. LR seemed easier than normal, too. RC seemed easy at first but turned out to be a bear. I spent way too much time sorting out the law passage and had to speed read about Inuits so here's hoping I made quality, fast educated choices LOL. Either way, I'm prepared to get accomodations for a pen and paper test for next year because if I don't get the score I want I know it's because I cannot comprehend on the computer nearly as well as I do on paper. The anxiety over the virtual RC is just overwhelming for me and I look at the screen like I've forgotten how to read or analysis. Either way, if LG and LR are your strengths then today was probably easy peasy

I want to write the August LSAT and currently freaked out because my diagnostic was a143. Was anyone else in the same boat but managed to turn it around? I would love to hear your stories and tips!!!

I got a 136 last may/June. Started reading the Loophole over the summer and began studying 5-6days a week for 2-3 hrs in September. In Nov 2020 I got a 150. Then I took a break until JAN 2021, studied occasionally because covid closures messed with my kids childcare, then began studying nearly daily again in Feb. got a 153 in April and am retaking this Sunday because I was soooooo sick that week before the lsat & def didn’t perform well. My average PT is 158-161.

My suggestion is use 7Sage! If I had started them last summer I’m sure I would be in the low 170s lol

Did you switch from paper to lawhub Pt? That was killer for me, I read and comprehend WAY BETTER from paper tests than the virtual online ones. I would say that use my cursor or actually tapping pencil under each word has helped SOME but nothing is as easy for me than reading on paper 😅I get 22-25 right on paper and really struggle to focus on the computer tests to get a 20.

Personal life HAHAHAHA. Outside mommyhood all I do for myself/personal life is go on some runs solo

I have 2 kids, a 6 and 3 year old. My husband works an insane schedule on a ship, and is gone 12-13 hours a day so I have a babysitter come to the house 2-3x a week for 2-3 hours for review. On the weekends I take PT but I am often distracted by kid noises and can't stand the disruptions of the kids coming up to the bedroom/office to ask if they can have a popsicle or watch a show or paint (they do this regardless of who is supposed to be watching them during study sessions). I find it better to deal with this than go somewhere else to study, particularly since I would've had to wear a mask and gotten anxiety about it in public before the restrictions were lifted in VA. I saw all this to say that huge improvement IS possible though, even under such circumstances, it just takes patience and time. Sometimes I'll review tips after bedtime but I can never do anything timed after 3pm, I'm just a sloth mentally then. My best practice/study sessions are very early in the morning. Bes of luck!!!

Burnt out before June retake?!

So, I "only" got a 153 on the April LSAT but had been PTing easily 157. The day of the test I had a raging sinus infection so after getting the 153 back I was like, ok, no biggie I'll just review and crush the June retake (the only school I'm applying to wants me to retake it even though I'm already within their range of other factors). Ok, fine. After taking the 3 weeks off between the April test date and score release I started getting my first low 160s... and now this last week I'm dropping to 15/27 on RC and LR!? Am I just burnt out?! Or are the tests in the 80s just insanely harder than every other PT and I'm just wasting my time retaking in June unless my timed PT this weekend is back to my normal upper 150s/low 160s?! I know, I know, I could postpone a cycle and try again but UGH.

(I put "only" got a 153 because considering I started last May/June at a 136 I think its a massive improvement in general, just not where I know I am capable of being)

Any wise tips for the next two weeks?

I feel your pain. When I do PT in the morning, I score higher between 158-162, and after 3 pm?! Forget it 🤣I’m thinking of adding some Mct Oil in a cup of coffee or protein shake if I do PT in the afternoon for some extra mental clarity lol. I’m just a hardcore morning person

Hey all,

Do you think between now and the June LSAT it is realistic to improve my score by at least 20 points? My issue is mostly with timing...When I take the test untimed I get roughly -3 on LG but my LR and RC fluctuates. When I take it timed, however, I basically bomb everything bc I run out of time.

Thoughts? Advice?

Thanks in advance, I appreciate it!

You could try to only do 3 of the 4 LG games perfectly, that would give you a 17/18 for sure, then guess same answer on the last one you don’t do. I would also keep fool proofing games between now and then. For LR you could drill questions that you’re mostly confident on now so they’re easy peasy points to pick up on the real thing, then flag and skip questions that are tougher to save for last so you can spend more time on them maybe. For RC, I agree with previous poster who suggested doing just 3 of 4 passages too. Over time you’ll get faster with practice. Sometimes I have 1-2 mins left on a LR section and 6months ago I struggled to get it done in 40 mins lol

Fool proof the LG!!! It’s insane how much it helps. I do a game blind, then watch JY video on it and redo it. Wait two days and do it again then a week later. You really pick up on the inferences sooooo much better this way, at least for me.

Do the online. I’m way better on paper tests (there is a lot of research we retain info better reading physical books/print) but we need to train ourselves to get used to the online test as much as I loathe it. I’m very anti tech in a lot of ways so this has been a big challenge for me.

Progress is possible!

I started out last May taking an untimed Pt and scoring a 136. I gained hope when I heard of the Loophole book, ordered it, and studied “seriously” from Sept till the Nov Lsat. I scored a 150, which is a miracle in and of itself. I also studied LG for a week and a half using Powerscore. I had been Pt at 155 so I signed up for April, and found 7Sage. Lord almighty I wish I had found it last May! It’s been a godsend just for the explanation videos alone. I started getting 157s so felt good about retaking in April but I got a wicked sinus infection (thanks allergies!) & could barely focus the day of the test. I got a 153, which is a 12% improvement in rank so I’m okay with the score. However, I know I can do better. I didn’t study at all during the 3week wait for the score then tried Pt 78 and 81 this week. I just got a 159 for the first time ever! I’m going to crush my 3rd and finally Lsat, and just wanted to provide some encouragement for me. If you’re on the fence about 7Sage JUST DO IT and believe in yourself.

Also, it’s worth it to postpone till fall 2022 if that means a full merit scholarship right?! My study pace is slow because my hubs is active duty & we have a 3 and 6 year old so studying more than 2-3 hrs a few times a week just isn’t possible. I’m pretty sure the school I want to attend is going to accept me as is but I really don’t want to pay for law school after paying for two masters 😆
