I was skeptical of D because it said 'other workers' instead of specifying office workers. Does that not matter here? I have missed questions before for not analyzing questions deeply like this.

So is question 1 an argument, or is it just an unsupported weak argument? I understand that the premises don't work together but they could inevitably work together for some third statement that could lead to a conclusion. Overall, just confused if the example alone is an argument or not.
How do you know to look for an answer choice that explains what IS safe to eat? I see how the right answer is correct, I am just unsure of how I would know from the stimulus that I am looking for an answer choice that involves IS.
