Thank you for the very helpful advice. You guys are awesome!

@ and @ I did not know about the benefit of applying ED to Northwestern, nor about their scholarship. You guys totally gave me something to work towards.

@ Yes! I do need those LORs. Will work on it. Thanks so much!

Ideas for strengthening application

Hi,

For the past five years, I have been working online, teaching English to students oversees, while staying home to take care of my little ones. Before that, I was a middle school ELA teacher.

My passion has always been to attend law school, and I think I am at a point in my life where I am ready. I am 32. I took the June LSAT and scored 161. My undergrad GPA was 3.64. I plan on taking the LSAT again, hoping to pull it up in the 165-172 range. My dream school is Northwestern Law.

I will probably apply for Law School during the 2020 cycle. Until then, I have some time for volunteering/ working on my softs.

What can I do for the next year that would strengthen my application?

I will not be able to finish taking and BR-ing PT 60 by Tuesday. But I do want to be prepared ahead of time for the next session. Will you guys do another session on Tuesday Mar 27? If so, which PT will you BR?

Yes, most likely. It would also depend on whether I have achieved mastery on those question types or not. I am taking the test in June, so I am reviewing old PT notes periodically, and looking for places where I can improve.

I am documenting them in one spreadsheet in google drive (titled LSAT PT Notes).

I start a new sheet for each PT that I take, and mark the questions I didn't get right with red, along with an explanation next to the question number.

If I do understand the answer and/or got the question right, but I think I should review it before the actual test day, I mark it purple.

If I got it right and don't need to come back to it, I mark it green.

I used three watches for the June test too. No problem at all. Bought each of them from Walmart for 8 bucks each.

I'm doing PTs on Saturday mornings in Naperville, usually at the public library close by. Might be a long drive for you though.

Strategies to increase accuracy for timed PTs

I am BRing 172-174 (my target score), but on my timed PTs, I am scoring between 159-163. There's about a month left till the June LSAT. I have registered for it, but re-considering if I should take it yet, or wait till September.

The thing stopping me from taking it in September is I have kids who will be home during the summer break, which means I will barely get quiet time to study for the next couple of months. And, I will start working in August too. However, for the next month I have no work, and kids in school, meaning about 5-6 hours of study time everyday till June 11.

I guess, my question boils down to, how long does it usually take for people to get from their actual score to their BR score? What are some strategies (feel free to suggest webinars or discussion links) that I can use to increase accuracy in timed condition?

I am from Houston, but living in Chicago now. What kind of law are you interested in?

Also a NTS, and I'm looking to find a mentor in Chicago, esp someone who has attended Northwestern or Univ of Chicago, with a husband and young kids in tow.

Since the conclusion is comparing the reliability of both numbers, and saying figure 1 is more reliable than figure 2, the flaw must be in an assumption that points to lower reliability of figure 1. Answers D and E talk about accuracy, only B finds problems with figure 1's reliability.

Fool Proof Irrelevant Games?

I am fool proofing the 1-35 bundle of games, and wondering if I should spend any time fool-proofing the so-called irrelevant games in the early tests.

JY mentions that they don't appear in modern tests.
