Hi everyone! I am currently working on applications for Columbia, Northwestern, U Chicago, U Michigan, and U Virginia. I wanted to reach out to the 7sage community to see if anyone knew of recent graduates or current students attending these law schools, as being able to speak to someone actually attending would allow me to gain better insight into what going to law school there actually looks like!

I was advised by a recent law grad to pre-write all of the optional essays for schools before their application opens. Because of the recent SCOTUS decision, I'm guessing a lot of those essays are going to be shifting around. I'm applying to a large amount of schools and working a full-time job, and I'm concerned that if I don't pre-write I will be swamped and won't be able to write all of the essays.
Is pre-writing something that is even a thing in the law admissions process? And if so, how do we go about doing it?
Howdy everyone,
I am a June 2023 LSATer and got a 170 (yay!) but I want to go to a T-14 (Duke is my dream school). I’m a little disappointed since my average was a 173 (175,173,170,170,173,173,172), do you think it would be wise to retake? I am already registered for the August test, but I am trying to figure out whether I should get my refund. Until then, I am only able to dedicate weekends and the two weeks before I would take it to intense studying, so I am a little concerned with retaking it and getting the same score. Kind of in a middle ground, so any advice would be appreciated!
My GPA is a 3.83 since I graduated in three years and spent 2 of those years as STEM, and I am a non-URM wanting to go into public-interest.
Tinacioust-1, did you find it helpful? I'm trying to decide whether to register and I am a June LSAT-er too!
Hi clubNW1414, I am also taking the June LSAT! I did not use the temporary login, as I had already attached my LSAC account to ProctorU, but I would use it if I were you so that your exact test registration number translates over. Best of luck!
I got Q9 wrong because I didnt look at the STRENGTH comparison. I found a textual citation that matched and said "this is it" when in reality this was not it.
Hey yall! I need a parallel reasoning expert to explain to me why C is the correct answer and not E.
Thank you!
Anyone else choose E over B because B used the word "dispose" and that felt wrong?

Thank you!! @victoriakbeede316 When you were going through them, did you just make note of them for every kind of question? Or specifically the ones you were falling for? Can you give me an example?
Hello LSAT rockstars!!
I started studying for the LSAT a week ago and am taking the April LSAT (I know, fast paced schedule). On my diagnostic I got a 158, but I am looking to climb to about a 172. Obviously with the time crunch, I want to use the course in the best way possible so I was wondering if I should follow the syllabus chronologically or if I should be jumping around to the sections I am weakest at (which for me is LR followed by RC). I would just hate to let a month of prep go by without using the course most effectively. Also any additional tips for someone just starting out would be wonderful, thanks!
I got this question wrong because I did not recognize that EVALUATE MEANS AUTHORS OPINION!!! I thought the opinion of someone else was sufficient.
